The Experimental 300003 and 04 satellites launched this time are the 2nd and 3rd satellites launched by the Eighth Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology in the field of applied satellites in 2026. They are also the 167th and 168th satellites developed and launched by the 509th Institute (Shanghai Satellite Engineering Institute) as the overall designer. The satellites are mainly used for experimental verification of Earth observation technology.


China successfully launched the Shiyan-30 (Experimental 30) satellites 03 and 04 into space using a Long March-2D carrier rocket from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center. The satellites successfully entered their predetermined orbits, marking a complete success for the launch mission. These satellites are primarily used for testing and verifying Earth observation technologies.


This mission marked the 632nd flight of the Long March series of carrier rockets.
