On the Month of March  2026  of  Hong Kong SAR- Beijing Time CNSA –China National Space Administration ,Calls for Projects for the Space Station Application and Development Project: Human Space Research Program

As China’s “National Space Laboratory,” encompassing the most comprehensive range of space science-related disciplines, possessing the strongest on-orbit support capabilities, and boasting unique advantages such as human participation and uplink/downlink transportation, the space station has deployed world-class scientific research and technological experimental facilities in orbit. Following the public announcement of the call for projects in the field of aerospace medicine experiments in June 2023, it received widespread attention and strong support from all sectors of society, receiving a total of 387 submissions. Of these, 82 projects have been selected and approved, with 53 projects currently underway, yielding fruitful research and application results. To further focus on the major scientific direction of human space research and to deepen research on the key scientific issues facing long-term human health survival in space, the guidelines for the Space Human Space Research Program (Attachment 1) are now publicly released, soliciting projects from the entire society.

I. Research Objectives
Aiming at long-term near-Earth orbit flights for manned spaceflight projects and deep space exploration missions such as manned lunar landings, this research addresses strategic, fundamental, and forward-looking major scientific questions related to long-term human health survival in space. It aims to establish a multi-level, multi-modal, and cross-scale space human body research system, conduct large-scale, interdisciplinary collaborative cutting-edge scientific experiments, answer the internal mechanisms of human adaptation and remodeling in the spaceflight environment, map the space human body, establish a macro- and micro-level space human body research database, and produce a number of original results to support astronaut health maintenance, long-term extraterrestrial stays, and public health on Earth.
II. Space Station Support Capabilities
The space station is equipped with some products and equipment for space human body science research, including medical monitoring, physiological function testing, behavioral and cognitive function testing, and medical sample processing and analysis. See the guidelines for details.
III. Application Requirements
(I) Project applications should be submitted online. In special circumstances, a paper project proposal may be submitted after communicating with the corresponding contact person in the guidelines. The main requirements for applicants are as follows:
1. Applicants should carefully read this announcement and the “Project Application Instructions” (Attachment 2) before submitting their applications, and fully understand the content of the project guidelines. Applications that do not meet the relevant requirements will not be accepted.
2. Applicants should submit their project proposals through the application system (Space Science and Application Project Demonstration System: tecsu.cn). For details, please refer to the “Project Proposal Template” (Attachment 3).
(II) The project application system will be open from 9:00 AM on April 1, 2026 to 4:00 PM on April 15, 2026.
(III) International cooperation projects must explain the relevant circumstances in the project proposal.
