The “Yorktown” is a science Star Cruiser, its heavily science centric starship.. The look of the Yorktown as all the inspired elements of the Odyssey, Sovereign, The Excelsior retrofit, with the Vesta Class with its sharp curved feminine sleek lines… with a tighter sleek body frame, with the chevron saucer section..
Orthough it’s a science vessel, but it’s also a mixture of been an Engineering and science ship by looking at the console modifications of five Engineering and four science.. .. in which you can modify the ship to an extent of additional hulling and shielding re enforcement of having your fleet consoles which will add an additional bonuses.. also do bear in mind when you add the Star Cruiser and the Odyssey set you’ll have to pick and choose wisely of what higher tier modifications that you need to do to get the most of your ship, the Star Cruiser’s Engineering , and science.. but given it only as two Tactical consoles that leaves little room for increasing the ships firing power.. you might have to sort out and switching a different fleet variant warp core to maximize firing power.. even though it has plus five power in all systems..
The allocated special bridge seating in which it has Lieutenant Commander Universal/ Command Specialist station in which the bridge stations arrangements lieutenant Tactical , Commander Engineering, Lieutenant Commander Science, Ensign Universal, and Lieutenant Commander Universal Command.. Looking at the Bridge seating it gives you more abilities options to modify the ship how it reacts to certain situations depending on the skill setting your bridge crew..

The ship is interesting, orthough the saucer section of the ship can add weight in maunvering, combating but its bests that beam arrays is your best defence but its area spread also with evasive maneuvers ability that massive increase of turn rate while firing and turning while your torpedoes are in the readiness…
