This new version of the ShiKahr has been reimagined as a mid-24th century starship, conceived as a light cruiser contemporary to the Cheyenne, Galaxy, and Nebula classes. This model was designed and built by Eric Henry, starshipwright extraordinaire….

The all new look of  ShiKahr will totally replace the old model that you once known as your starter first ship , which as of notation are phasing out as it no longer fits in with the style or quality of Star Trek Online  current generation of starships. In early 2371, the Equinox was pulled into the Delta Quadrant by the entity known as the Caretaker. During the vessel’s first week in the region, 39 crewmembers – roughly half the crew – were killed in a conflict with the Krowtonan Guard. The Krowtonan Guard claimed that the Equinox had violated their borders, but Captain Ransom gave the order to continue through their space. The decision would haunt Ransom for the rest of his life.

As years passed struggling to survive in the Delta Quadrant, the crew of the Equinox believed that the principles of the Federation and the regulations of Starfleet would not be effective in their situation (in a direct contrast to the similar situation of USS Voyager and Kathryn Janeway who insistently clung to the rules). The few members of the now small crew came close together often neglecting protocol. Addressing each other by first name was an example of this…
