Taking command of the heavy escort carrier is one of the best moves after having a Heavy escort and its refit… Also having the previous two makes an interesting learning curve and experience to get to know more about the Armitage class..

Having to get to know more about the Heavy escorts of Akria, Oslo, Zephyr classes, also too of the Thunderchild class… moving onwards to the Armitage they three class maneuvers the same turn rate of fifteen degrees per second.. orthough it’s a bit the Armitage class hull is a little long, but you could modify the hulling and looks to give you the maximum competitive advantages of giving the best turn rate in utilising firing forward weapons dual heavy cannons, arrays, torpedoes   and for the rear weapons load is to utilising the best of turrets and arrays to maximizing out the a frontal assaults then cleaning with port or starboard side banking so it’ll allow your front shields to regenerate..

There’s few fashionably additions that comes with newly out fitted as a carrier so you could equip your ship with different fighters like how they did it with the multi mission explorer (Vesta class), Atrox and the Jem Hadar carrier class… as a carrier this will give you added advantages in tidying up the battle and creating diversions in process so it reduces your intake damages..  The other  thing is the universal console  Photon Torpedo Defences system   in which you could off load and place this photon torpedo turret  in any of your ships in your shipyard..  The Photon Torpedo Defence System is pretty niffy helpful where you in the beehive hive swarms of enemy ships surrounding you, and could provide useful in where you met the Terrain Empire ships incursions..

The Armitage class is a tier five, season six class ship, this ship will probably will get you out form any situation that you might encounter, and also it’s a transition ship class to the Fleet version  or a training  ship to the Avenger battle cruiser where the feel  between two class are almost the same.. also how you modified  it out aswell..

Do you have any information as to the overall size of the ship, overall length in meters? There is a model of it offered on Shapeways that measures out at about 7.2 inch. I wanted to see the size required for 1/2500 scale.
    Thanks

      heya Frank Fowler

Think according the Akria class length is least 464 meters long ( star trek deep space nine technical manual ) so I presuming it’s a little over that length given it’s a carrier vessel also its engineering hull is a little bit over than the Thunderchild presuming it’s between 500 to 560 meters in length for the standard stock Armitage class, not the variant version ..

Thanks for the information Kevin. My 1/2500 Akira model is about 6.8 inch so the Shapeways Armitage model is a little larger at 7.2 inch so the Armitage model should fit into 1/2500 scale as is. Your thoughts have been helpful.
