Embarking on a new “Carrier Rocket ” journey! China’s first carrier rocket reuse factory completed in Wenchang.

At 10:08 am on October 9, 2025 Beijing time , under the joint witness of guests from all walks of life, the Interstellar Glory carrier rocket final assembly and test reuse factory project (Phase I) was completed, creating a new business card for commercial aerospace.

The Interstellar Glory launch vehicle final assembly, test, and reuse factory project (Phase I) has been completed, filling a gap in Hainan’s reusable rocket sector.

The Hainan Interstellar Glory Wenchang universal propulsion system test base, capable of carrying 1,000-ton liquid oxygen-methane and liquid oxygen-kerosene launch vehicles with a diameter of 5 meters or less, will be completed by the end of this year or early next year.

[China’s first launch vehicle reuse factory completed in Wenchang; Hyperbola-3 will arrive in the fourth quarter of this year and conduct launch site rehearsals around the end of the year] At 10:08 a.m. on October 9, 2025, witnessed by distinguished guests from all walks of life, the grand completion ceremony for the Interstellar Glory launch vehicle final assembly, testing, and reuse factory project (Phase I) was held at the Wenchang International Aerospace City in Hainan, marking another milestone in the development of China’s commercial space infrastructure.

This modern factory, with a total construction area of 28,800 square meters, is China’s first comprehensive project dedicated to the complete assembly, testing, and reuse of launch vehicles. Construction of the factory took full account of the unique climatic conditions of Hainan’s coastal areas. The main structure is designed to high standards for typhoon resistance, capable of withstanding strong typhoons, ensuring safe and stable year-round operation of rocket production, storage, and testing. Its completion is not only a key step in the development of Interstellar Glory, but also marks a major breakthrough in China’s commercial space infrastructure, officially entering a new stage of large-scale and reusable development.

The completion of this factory marks several breakthroughs. It not only fills a gap in Hainan’s core capabilities for reusable rocket testing and reuse, but also establishes a new paradigm for the commercial space industry with its pioneering “final assembly, final testing, and reuse” model. Its high-standard typhoon-resistant design has become a model for aerospace infrastructure development in coastal areas. In the future, the factory will not only serve Interstellar Glory’s own development but also provide one-stop services to global commercial aerospace companies. It is expected to become a key link in the international aerospace industry chain, helping to elevate China’s commercial space industry to a more central position on the global stage.

The factory is scheduled to welcome the first Hyperbola-3 reusable launch vehicle to the site in the fourth quarter of this year for final assembly and final testing. Large-scale ground tests, including launch site rehearsals, are expected to be conducted around the end of the year, laying a solid foundation for the first flight into orbit and recovery at sea. Let us all look forward to the launch, recovery, and reuse of the Hyperbola-3 Yao-1 launch vehicle here, witnessing China’s commercial space industry reach new heights!
