At approximately 10:00 AM on September 1, 2026, the “Zhishenxing-1,” a medium-to-large reusable liquid launch vehicle independently developed by Galactic Energy Aerospace Co., Ltd., successfully completed its maiden flight at the Jiuquan Dongfeng Commercial Aerospace Innovation Test Zone. The rocket successfully entered its predetermined orbit according to the program, marking China’s private commercial aerospace industry’s official entry into the era of 7-ton-class reusable liquid rockets.

II. Highlights of Rocket Technical Parameters
- Basic configuration : Pallas I is a two-stage configuration, with a total length of 52 meters, a core stage diameter of 3.35 meters, a takeoff mass of approximately 283 tons, and a takeoff thrust of 350 tons.
- Launch capacity : The basic configuration has a launch capacity of 7 tons to a low Earth orbit of 200 kilometers, while the extended bundled configuration can increase the launch capacity to 14 tons, precisely filling the market gap in the 5 to 15-ton launch capacity range of domestic private rockets.
- Power system : The first stage adopts a domestically pioneering parallel configuration of seven self-developed CQ-50 liquid oxygen/kerosene engines, which has fault redundancy capability. If one engine fails, the other six can still ensure flight.
- Reusable design : The rocket is designed to be reused at least 25 times. After mature reuse, the unit launch cost can be reduced to about one-quarter of that of traditional disposable rockets.
III. First Flight Strategy and Subsequent Planning
- A conservative strategy : This maiden flight adopts a “first-orbit, then-recovery” strategy, completing only the basic orbital insertion mission and not conducting first-stage recovery tests. The core objective is to collect flight data from the entire rocket’s propulsion, guidance, and telemetry processes.
- Phased verification : In the next 2 to 3 launch missions, tests such as first-stage reentry deceleration, grid rudder control, and land and sea point recovery will be gradually carried out. After the verification is mature, the commercial reuse launch mode will be launched.
- Industry significance : The successful maiden flight directly propels Galaxy Power into the 5-ton-class medium-sized carrier market, securing large-scale satellite internet network orders and a new round of confidence from the capital market.
