星河动力空间科技有限公司 Galactic Energy- Galaxy Power (Beijing) Space Technology Co., Ltd.Located in Block D, Aviation Technology Plaza, E-Town, and Beijing – Beijing – China – People’s Republic of China ….Galaxy Aerospace is the first private aerospace company in China to achieve successful continuous launches, the first to send commercial networked satellites into a 500km sun-synchronous orbit, and the first to master the ability to launch multiple satellites with one carrier rocket
The 100-ton engine burner test was a complete success! The development of the Pallas-2 liquid rocket was accelerated simultaneously.
As the Pallas-1 medium-sized liquid-propellant carrier rocket is about to make its maiden flight, Galaxy Power Aerospace is simultaneously accelerating the development of the Pallas-2 next-generation large-scale reusable carrier rocket to meet the requirements of one-rocket-one-orbit and one-step launch for large-scale constellation networking, as well as other high-orbit and deep space exploration missions.
The Pallas-2 rocket has a payload capacity ranging from 20 to 58 tons, adapting to various space launch missions through modular configuration. Its reuse significantly reduces the cost of future space launches. Development of the CQ-90 100-ton liquid oxygen/kerosene engine, the rocket’s main propulsion system, is progressing rapidly, with all performance indicators reaching internationally advanced levels.

The CQ-90 100-ton liquid oxygen/kerosene engine gas generator test run was a complete success recently! The test run included high and low operating conditions, high and low mixture ratios, long-range tests, multiple ignition verifications, and continuous variable operating condition testing, achieving a combustion efficiency of no less than 93%.

The CQ-90 engine features a pump-back swing layout with a 6° bidirectional swing capability. It utilizes a number of new technologies, including a new high-performance adjustable pintle injector, a coaxial split two-stage high-speed turbopump, and a pintle-type staged injection gas generator. Over 90% of the engine’s weight is 3D-printed. It boasts a sea-level thrust of 101 tons, a specific impulse of 280 seconds, and a thrust-to-weight ratio exceeding 150. It also features multiple starts, deep thrust variation, and reusability.

This test successfully verified the three core technical capabilities of the engine:
Repeatable ignition capability – complete three consecutive ignition starts and stops, covering the entire mission profile of rocket recovery, with a 100% ignition success rate;
Wide-range adjustment capability – achieves stable combustion within the operating range of 20% to 110%, breaking through the adjustment capability limitations of traditional engines;
Adaptability to extreme working conditions – withstand extreme mixture ratio deviation, combustion chamber pressure fluctuation is less than 2%.

Overview of the new plan for the Pallas-2 large reusable liquid carrier rocket
The Pallas-2 launch vehicle is a new modular reusable liquid carrier rocket with a diameter of 4.5 meters. It includes two configurations: basic and CBC.
The basic model has a takeoff mass of approximately 757t, a takeoff thrust of approximately 910t, and a LEO payload capacity of 20t;
The CBC configuration has a takeoff weight of approximately 1950t, a takeoff thrust of approximately 2730t, and a LEO carrying capacity of 58t.
It can be configured with room temperature upper stage/advanced low temperature upper stage to meet the needs of various space missions such as low orbit, high orbit, and deep space exploration.
The complete success of this test will accelerate the development of the large-scale reusable liquid carrier rocket Pallas-2, laying the foundation for its maiden flight in 2026. Galaxy Power Aerospace will steadily advance subsequent research and development work and continue to contribute to the high-quality development of China’s commercial aerospace industry .
