WestK Shanghai Week 2025, hosted by the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA) in 18th towards 22nd June 2025, will be collaborating with six renowned cultural institutions and venues in Shanghai to present seven leading WestK cultural and artistic programmes to Shanghai audiences. WestK Shanghai Week 2025 is the first cross-disciplinary showcase of cultural and creative programmes curated or co-organised by WestK outside of Hong Kong since WKCDA’s establishment in 2008, marking an important milestone in fostering the city’s unique cultural programmes to “go global”. WestK Shanghai Week 2025 will include exhibitions curated by M+ and the Hong Kong Palace Museum (HKPM), as well as a selection of highly acclaimed original Cantonese musical, Xiqu, music and dance performances.

The grand opening ceremony of WestK Shanghai Week 2025 took place last night, bringing together distinguished guests to kick off an artistic and cultural journey where WestK meets Shanghai — a celebration of creativity between two vibrant cities!
WestK is partnering with six renowned cultural institutions and venues in Shanghai to present seven leading cultural and artistic programmes. These include exhibitions curated by M+ and the Hong Kong Palace Museum, the critically acclaimed original Cantonese musical The Impossible Trial, a curated selection of Xiqu, music, and dance performances, as well as a series of cultural dialogues and exchange activities. Adding to the excitement, the preheat activities — including the “WestK x MANNER” Limited-Edition Art Collaboration and the “WestK Fun Challenge: Roll & Win” pop-up booth at Shanghai Xintiandi— have already attracted enthusiastic crowds, bringing art and culture closer to residents and visitors.
Henry Tang, Chairman of the Board of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, warmly welcomes visitors from Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta region to experience WestK — make new friends through art — and once again greets everyone in Shanghainese.
