On the 27th April 2025 launch CNSA _China National Space Administration -China – People’s Republic of China 2354 Hours Hong Kong –Beijing Time China- People’s Republic of China…. at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center, Sichuan Province of the Xichang Launch Center, the Long March 3B carrier rocket was launched, sending successfully launched Tianlian-2号05 satellite into space using the Long March 3B carrier rocket at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center. The satellite successfully entered the predetermined orbit and the launch mission was a complete success. This satellite is China’s second-generation geosynchronous orbit data relay satellite, mainly used to provide data relay and measurement and control services for manned spacecraft such as spacecraft and space stations, provide data relay and measurement and control services for medium and low orbit resource satellites, and provide measurement and control support for spacecraft launches.

Tianlian-2-05 was developed by the Fifth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. It is the fifth satellite of China’s second-generation geosynchronous orbit relay satellite, and it is only one month away from the launch of Tianlian-2-04. Relay satellites can provide data relay and measurement and control services for spacecraft, which can greatly improve the use efficiency and emergency response capabilities of various spacecraft and realize real-time transmission of data between the earth and the sky.
The successful operation of Tianlian-2-05 in orbit will effectively enhance the autonomous controllability, safety and reliability of China’s space-based measurement and control. Since 2019, China has successively completed the launch mission of Tianlian-2-01~05.
This launch is the 572nd launch of the Long March series of carrier rockets….
