On September 29th, the “Endless Exploration: China’s Space, Aviation, and Navigation” exhibition, co-organized by the Macao Special Administrative Region Government and the China National Space Administration, opened at the Macao Science Center. The exhibition aims to comprehensively showcase China’s latest achievements in space, aviation, and navigation. As a key stop on the “Twenty Years of Lunar Exploration Project Tour,” the exhibition highlights the remarkable achievements of the project over the past two decades and Macao’s contributions . It aims to inspire the public, especially young people, in scientific and technological innovation , and to further enhance Macao’s scientific and technological innovation capabilities.

The exhibition, centered around the concept of “science + popular science, achievements + culture, and visits + experiences,” will highlight key projects and the fruitful achievements achieved in my country’s aerospace, aviation, and shipbuilding sectors since the new era. Many exhibits will be on display in Macao for the first time. Highlights include lunar samples returned by Chang’e-5 and Chang’e-6, humanity’s first lunar samples from the far side, the Chang’e-6 return capsule and parachute, models of the “20 family” of aircraft, including the J-20, Y-20, and Z-20, and models of the shipbuilding industry’s “three crown jewels”: the Shandong aircraft carrier, the large cruise ship “Aida Modu,” and a large liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier. A special section dedicated to Macao showcases Macao’s achievements in aerospace and maritime fields, as well as its collaboration with mainland China.

In recent years, Macau has actively participated in space missions such as the development of the “Macau Science No. 1” satellite, was awarded the “National Key Laboratory of Lunar and Planetary Science” plaque, and held science popularization activities such as the “China Space Day Special Event” and the “Macau Beidou Space Competition” to stimulate young people’s enthusiasm for science and innovation.

During the exhibition, six experts, including Yin Zeyong, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and an expert in aviation engines, and Zhang Yuhua, deputy commander of the Chang’e-6 mission probe system, will give a series of popular science lectures on their respective fields. The exhibition will run until October 12.
