The Long March 4C carrier rocket was developed by the Eighth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. It is a room-temperature liquid three-stage carrier rocket with the ability to launch satellites of various types and different orbital requirements. It can carry out multiple satellite launch missions with one rocket. The 700-kilometer sun-synchronous orbit carrying capacity is 3 tons, and it supports all-weather and all-day launches.
This launch is the 583rd launch of the Long March series of carrier rockets.
