深蓝航  Deep Blue Limited – Deep Blue Aerospace One of sixty Chinese private space Carrier Rocket Companies in China-People’s Republic of China…  As many of sixty plus Private Rocket Deep Blue Aerospace Co., Ltd. was established in 2017. The company is mainly a high-tech aerospace enterprise that focuses on the direction of liquid recovery and reusable launch vehicles and provides users with commercial launch services. Deep Blue Aerospace Co., Ltd. is headquartered in Nantong City, Jiangsu Province. At the same time, the company has rocket general and liquid engine R&D centers in Yizhuang, Beijing and Xi’an, Shaanxi, respectively, and a rocket power system test base in Tongchuan, Shaanxi…..

At 12:12 on May 17, 2025, Beijing time, the improved version of the Suzaku-2 Y2 carrier rocket was launched from the Dongfeng Commercial Space Innovation Test Area, successfully sending six satellites of the Changsha Tianyi Space Science and Technology Research Institute, namely, Tianyi 29, Tianyi 34, Tianyi 35, Tianyi 42, Tianyi 45 and Tianyi 46, into the planned orbit. The flight test mission was a complete success. This mission is the fifth flight of the Suzaku-2 carrier rocket

The improved ZQ-2 is China’s first dual cryogenic liquid launch vehicle that uses full supercooling and refuelling. It integrates core innovations such as a high-thrust liquid oxygen-methane power system, titanium-niobium alloy high-thrust nozzle manufacturing technology, and a single-layer common bottom tank structure. It can eventually achieve a 4-ton carrying capacity for a 500-kilometer sun-synchronous orbit. It is oriented towards low-orbit and sun-synchronous orbit missions and is gradually growing into a core platform serving the main market of China’s commercial aerospace.

The Y2 rocket as a whole continues the mature structure and control strategy of Y1. In this mission, it is equipped with a composite fairing with a diameter of 4.2 meters and a total length of 8.7 meters for the first time, which significantly enhances the compatibility with multiple types and sizes of payloads, and further improves the mission adaptability of the entire rocket.

The rocket adopts a two-stage configuration. The first stage is equipped with four Tianque 12A (TQ-12A) liquid oxygen-methane engines in parallel. Each engine has a sea level thrust of 720 kN, providing strong thrust and attitude control capabilities. The second stage uses the Tianque 15A (TQ-15A) with a vacuum thrust of 836 kN, 60% throttling conditions and three start-up capabilities. In conjunction with the Yunque (YQ-10) auxiliary power system, it supports thrust regulation, trajectory control, terminal speed correction and other precision operations to meet the needs of highly complex missions.

Based on continuous optimization, the Yao-2 rocket has been upgraded in many key aspects compared to the first flight model, including: engine thrust increase, cancellation of the first-stage oxygen exhaust connector to simplify the process, and upgrading the fairing from metal to composite materials, which significantly improved the mission response efficiency and system stability…
