The Communication Technology Experimental Satellite No. 14 was developed by the Eighth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. The satellite is mainly used for satellite communications, radio and television, data transmission and other services, and carries out relevant technical tests and verifications.
The Long March 3B rocket was developed by the First Academy of the group company. The rocket team has made four first-use improvements to this rocket to improve design reliability, improve independent controllability, and improve production efficiency.
