As Disney Marvel also DC has their superheroes, so does China before, they have thousands of legends… but with their unique individual stories from very humble beginnings….. But there’s one legend story historically generations retold, is the latest retention of the Monkey King, known as also “Sun Wu Kong.” In which first time Sun Wu Kong is one of the first time Asian Heroes, as I used to read my first comics very vintage Chinese comics depicting his Journey in to the west with beautifully graphically trendsetting drawn in the Ming Dynasty form.. In a form which they’re like today’s graphic novels for comics.
From the latest retention, the trailer shows in the midway through the story, where he is confronting alone as an army of one akin to Claire Farron-Lightning. Here we see various elements of the story of the rebellion against Hell and Heaven, as there manipulation of Earth affairs needs to be stop, The confrontation of the Dragon King of the East sea, also the emergences of his very deadly dangerous antagonist the Demon Bull King akin to the Doctor and Daleks. We also see his new found abilities in which Sun Wu Kong becomes totally invincible, the totally desolation of Hell and Heaven.
One of many things is graphically effects are massively brilliant; it brings out the brush stroke drawings into colourising fleshing life… And the degree of details as all Asian films regarding to this one is quite relatable to the classic animie “Havoc in Heaven” that was animated as seen in the late 1970’s.
