#iPhonePhotography April 2017 | 木星- The 30 second planet Jupiter with that iconic red stormy eye….

Filmed during a remarkable opening window of a very stormy night in the making in which the clouds nomadic blanketing the night skies… Then comes an opening during the early evening before later in the night becomes a very much traditional Auckland’s cloudy night sky in to the night..

Using the thirty inch mirror – Cassegrain telescope nickname “Edith” after its Donor Edith Winstone Blackwell at Auckland Observatory- Stardome... with my friend in showing to the Planet Jupiter while there’s an opening window in between clouds on that night telling a family Jupiter ‘stories, .. in which there’s it is the iconic more than 100,000 year old  three Earth width stormy red eye that’s located in the tropics of the hundreds thousands of layered on-going hurricane storms that everlasting looking at the still while Planet Jupiter starts to recedes to be the closest towards this Planet Earth. In view….

#iPhonePhotography |- 木星 – The 40 second Planet #Jupiter viewed from planet Earth- its 2017 opposition….

Just recently this month of early April 2017, during the first week April 2017 on about the seventh of April 2017 in the constellation Virgo, it’s been the very closest to Jupiter, during this month being very fortunate to record its closest… With its four Galilean Moons Io, Europa, Ganymede Callisto … in which from Auckland, New Zealand, the largest planet in the solar system, the gaseous planet Jupiter can been seen during the Summery and Autumn season as it rises early now as it transition towards making way for the winter night sky in which the Second largest Planet Saturn makes way transition with winter constellation Scorpio for winter.. in that fortunate I was able to capture its view during the night.. as each nights view is unique, it’s unreplicable….

As it rises from the East toward the west in the southern hemisphere, Given that you have a larger tracking or non-tracking mirror telescope among with a good set of lens to help you to magnify the image you can see the planets moons, in which you can see the define details of the layered iconic weathering stripes from the southern to its northern pole in different Neapolitan colours indicating many different layers with that in mind you’ll catch a glimpse of the giant three Earth width red spot in among the tropical equator of the planet that rotating around the planet in which its pretty nomadic depending on its period  duration that you’ll going to see it..

During the year of 2017, up to this moment the night skies have been very generous with some interesting seasonally views the starry night skies apart in Auckland it’s has been gatecrashed with periodically cyclones, and random nomadically thunderstorms, or gatecrashing massive clouds … as for these two seasons its Summer and Autumn.. as the transitional in between two seasons with the summery constellation Orion starts to fall early as it progresses towards autumn, within that Constellation seeing it upside down given that you’re from the Northern hemisphere.  Down under it’s known to be the Orion the Hunter or the pot having the handle, in which is the sword,  then the base of the pot is the three straight row of stars in which forms his belt..  or in my case Orion is a Cheerleader doing the somersault  with her hands with two wearing Citrine set rings, with her diamond studded heels, with a three diamond stud belt that holds up her skater skirt with a smaller three diamond studded slash on her skirt of her dress..

Orion Nebula cloud i when it glows its quite haunting in a way it speaks out it long ago of untold unspoken stories

Apart of the summer Constellation Orion is other deep space objects, in which is the Jewel box open cluster it’s below the New Zealand flag, the Southern Cross in which is below Beta Crux… notably it’s just off slightly a little of beta crux when you look at the finder scope of your telescope. As you look back in time to an open cluster of least seven thousand years ago back in time with a collection of hundred stars… among clusters is the globular Cluster 47 Tucanne, in located in the Tucanne constellation. It’s supposed to be an ancient Dwarf Galaxy in which its progressively got consumed by Milky Way Galaxy throughout time.. In which leaving it with its core of one million stars, with aging stars with white and yellow spectra..  One of the interesting transitioning moments of Night Skies between from Summery to Autumn is the Planet Jupiter… all the nights off looking back in time of least forty minutes ago averagely 800 million kilometers is never the same, every night is different as the Four main Galilean Moons ..  Io, Europa, Ganymede, Callisto orbiting around the Gaseous Planet, as watching it from going behind Jupiter towards from occultation to transiting you can see something interesting with a larger mirror telescope, as you multiple eclipses, eclipsing it’s shadow  as it transiting in front of the planet in view with the nearest star the Sun..

For the this month it’s been very generous in the Auckland night skies despite recently it has been raining… this week…. With a few in between fine days and cloudy rainy nights with some remarkable clear night skies with the moon crispy viewed in a very still Autumn going to winter night skies…  during the night skies for this month of May.. Generously with three planets in the night first is Jupiter arriving early following the constellation of Canis Major… Then moderately later its rising from the Eastern direction is the Constellation of Scorpio with the Planet Mars in which has been very close in relation with Earth and rusty bright in the night leading then behind is the planet Saturn…

SLIDESHOW | 2014 January – Luna photography

This month I got do to some Luna Photography it’s been a while. During the month it was mostly cloudy during the early parts of the first week, but that continued for a while, until there were some openings in the blue or the night clear skies in which gave some promising view of the moon, one good thing is viewing the shadows casted on the Luna surface giving them depth in height and scale of the how large it is.. Sometimes it’s best to view the moon where is very crescently to least past two quarters so you could see the scaling visually least 1.2 seconds ago of the surface..

Also other starry objects for this month in the southern hemisphere… at most of the Amazing starry objects seen in the Daylight savings Auckland evening rising over from the East… Like the constellations Canis Major,  Orion, Taurus, as leading  the Pleiades ( the seven sisters, Subaru )  as below the in the distance is the Planet Jupiter in the constellation Gemini…
