” wink at the Moon……and she’ll will wink back at ya.. !” remembering the Late Astronaut Neil Armstrong.. 

During the month of August 2016, has been interesting in the night skies in Auckland, New Zealand in which is generally located in the Southern hemisphere… during the recent week, the Auckland night skies have been generous gorgeous in which the Winter has already arrived in place of the of the two wintery planets in between currently of the constellation of Scorpio with side by side of least 110 million kilometers away, fifteen minutes light ago is the rusty orange Planet Mars as to of the other side is the one billion Kilometers, about one light hour ago is the ringed Planet Saturn..

The Moon Luna has been interesting during August as showing crowds, some interesting features as it when through the Waxing Gibbous process towards the full moon, as it show highlights of its crater shadowy kilometers length shadow casted on the Luna surface as the Terminator line receded… among it the Chinese Story of the Jade Rabbit showing the bunny ears mare features of like the sea of Serenity which makes one pair of the bunny ears, Tranquilly the head of the Jade Rabbit.. The area in which Apollo Luna Landings have populated…

Among what’s been happening this past week, or this month is the fiery light show of the Perseids meteor shower in which just happen last week, as the Planet Earth in which you’re living on is passing through giving you a need to picnic in the dark with your love one romantically in between the 11th to 12th August 2016 in which with a peak observation during when you two look up in the constellation Perseus. In between Aries, nearby open Cluster Pleiades…

As to the rocket launches, there was least two currently this month, one Space X, in which was a Geostationary telecommunications Satellite the JCSAT 16 launched from Space Launch complex 40, in which was launched from the same Falcon nine reusable that launched JCSAT 14…… the other one from 19th August in which was an United Launch Alliance from Space Launch complex 37, in which was a US Air force collision avoidance detection satellite on a Boeing Atlas four rocket..

A very much further view of the Moon Luna as the Terminator is Back as the Luna moves towards Waning ….

On the night of 26 April 2016 the moon Luna is in the process of at waning has it past full moon which happen on the night of the 23th in which brightens up the night sky then and now towards new moon. In which the moon rises very much later in the night to view in Auckland… As when the Moon was in full  laminating the night making it easier to walk during the night without or using less use of a torch when you walk up to the summit of One Tree Hill in Auckland…  As on that night on the  been a full moon it’s still spectacular to watch in full as the Terminator recedes but you’ll see less features of the Luna Landscape in which the Shadows in which showing it’s depths….

As the Moon rises later in the night as it wanes backwardly towards anew also the Winter Constellation Scorpio rises as well the rusty Planet Mars, also the Saturn with its tilted rings shown in view following Mars..

When you look at Luna the Moon tonight.. as settling down progressively from a full moon to the now at the moment over here as seen arriving  in early  in the morning, in which provides and advantage in during the late evenings at night in viewing Comet LoveJoy in which is path have progressively travelling to and from the Orion Constellation.  From the foot of it as raced from Rigel and Safi now still viewable from above Taurus constellation given this is from a Southern Hemisphere advantage point in Auckland..

As you decidedly stay up very late onto the early part of the morning you’ll see the moon raised east wise….As Luna about half moon at the moment it’s the best time view at Luna to see the timeless details of shadowy depths in craters. .in which are mountains in length casted… in most cases the shadows of that size will eclipse whole moderated sized cities..  Looking it closer through a telescope among the terminator line your see other lighted rimmed mountain crated tops lighted up…

This year has been impressive with viewing the Moon Luna.. With every unique passing moments or each night… in some case waiting for Luna in from the early parts of the days evenings to the very later parts in the night onwards till past midnight…

Each night, it’s different from the other nights when viewing… The Shadows that been cast by the monstrous craters…  in which the craters towering more length that another large cities on Earth… Due to the size of Moon Luna is roughly about the diameter of Australia… also the shadows are different telling their own story…. Thinking this year is all about Luna’s shadows from casted by sun onto the Craters..

Progressively throughout year, there has be some awesome viewing of the International Space Station through the telescope. Seeing as it pass by with seeing the main structure, the solar arrays, the habit modules…  with each viewing seeing the orientation of panels positioning in different angles as it moves to the facing the sun..

Tonight in Auckland it was a full moon, in the clear night sky behaved mannerly after a rush of a last weekend cyclone that hit New Zealand recently…. Progressively throughout the month you could see the moon coming from crescently to its progressive onwardly quarters… then tonight it’s the full moon… Out shining anything starry in the night sky…

So when you look at the moon “wink at the moon”…. For the late Astronaut Neil Armstrong
