One tree Hill – Maungakiekie One 11- August 2017-  day  the summit is located in the heart of Auckland City New Zealand, in which it sits in between Epsom, Royal Oak, Greenlane, also Onehunga…  One Tree Hill Can be describe as an organic viewing platform like how long time ago like in Victoria Peak in Already Tomorrow in Hong Kong,  but without all the modern commercial amenities in which Victoria Peak has.. In which the Summit has constantly retains is organic Edwardian look with its rich colonial past as to its previous historically nature as it was once was a Fortified Pa Maori Site village in which numerous archaeological features still can be found while the present has caught it up with it past…

One winter afternoon day is the looking in between two harbours, Manukau to towards the Waitemata harbour……

Among viewing from the summit, it’s also the final resting place one of the founding fathers of Auckland Sir Logan Campbell, in which he’s rested in the same location where once the Marae- a community meeting house hall.. Among nearby is a flatbed in which is lowered is where the Pa’s Chieftain Residence once located…

 

Among its previous past of as great strategic viewing location for defenses, now presently it’s now a civilian kind, for the people to view organically of Auckland has a whole instead of the Inorganic view of Sky Tower in Victoria Street.. Among also its civilian use is the obelisk is the most visible Auckland Landmark in which is a memorial to the Maori People also a visual observation referencing landmark for incoming aircraft to land at Jean Batten International Airport- Auckland International Airport…..

 

During wartime.. World war two One Tree Hill, Cornwall Park was once a United States military barracks in which this area field was place where it’s training also a well played rugby..

Viewing from the vantage point, you can see most of the viewing range of the Waitemata harbour, towards northward of Albany- As to the southward is the rural Boundaries of Auckland, swing around that view is Thames, Coromandel….. Westward is the beyond the Waitakere’s ranges towards Piha towards the Tasman Ocean…

As during the weekend 30th July 2017 of Auckland, that week was the coldest week, but with the clearest of all frozen nights of great of looking at the Starry night.  In one iconic organic viewing location is One Tree Hill, in which location have breath taking views than to the Auckland CBD’s Sky Tower…One Tree hill, One Tree Hill Domain Located in the Heart of in between Onehunga, Royal Oak Greenlane also Epsom..

Looking in this direction towards the Tasman ocean towards Hong Kong.. as the coldest nights about to come.. with crispy starry nights.. with the remaining sunset warmth of the day..

One Tree Hill wintery wise with all encompassing views of the Auckland, in which as the best urban viewing sunrise sunset spots for Auckland- as still one of the most popular local also Tourist spots in Auckland also it’s free aswell to travel upwards to the summit among with the best spots of photographing Auckland in way it’s like Auckland’s Hong Kong Victoria Peak without the trams besides the northern Mountain Eden in which is closer towards the Auckland’s Central…  Also it’s one of the most identity Auckland Landmarks historically with the obelisk marking its spot also visually navigating for aircraft, as to it’s the resting spot for Auckland’s founding fathers Sir Logan Campbell…

 Watching the sunset settle down for the day, as it finally attempts to warm up the remaining warmth for the Auckland landscape in looking downwards to the Auckland west coast shorelines beyond the Waitakere’s in which looking a further south you can see the mouth of the Manukau Harbour, once a treacherous harbour to navigate for in the colonial days sailing ships, in which now days with navigation technologies the harbour isn’t so Treacherous..  As the sun settles down beyond the Waitakere ranges onwards looking towards the Tasman Ocean towards Australia then onwardly to the direction to Already Tomorrow in Hong Kong…..

SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN | It’s a like a Tolkien’s walk from north to south in New Zealand…!

SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN – Tearoroa Walk- photo – epsilon films-

 

It’s a walk, adventuring documentary in the making between the two islands of New Zealand. From the top of North to the South island of Bluff, the home of the famous Bluff Oysters…. The journey, the walking trek takes in between a 3000 Kilometers, exploring the New Zealand wonder lust green landscapes with its natural geographically contours that brings out the imagination of Tolkien’s world in the Hobbit,  Lord of the Rings but bringing in this slightly modern world….

In this the Team “ Somewhere in between “ whom is set out in in trekking in the wonder lust green Tolkien’s world trekking out in  New Zealand, filming on a five months spending time in documenting with Marta, Arthur, Anton and Emma.. Each bringing there’s experiences in the 3000 Kilometer Tolkien’s like trek…  as part of the adventuring updates post on their blog “ Tearoroa Walk “ from each of the teams experience along the journeys…It should be interesting to see how their life experiences are shown in the documentary film..

At the moment over here in Auckland, we just headed into autumn… the hours duration of daylight are noticeable with each passing week heading into the next season… as heading into the next season the constellations in the night sky are noticeable aswell too into its folding.. of fall.

This month coming up to autumn, it’s been warmly dry with humid …. But with an oncoming cyclone Lusi that ruffled rained on up mostly of the North Island in New Zealand,  in a way it did sort of made the hay colour pastures a little greener… once you seen the grassy colours  on One tree Hill…. Not so postcard…as it was hay colored..
