As I’m keyboarding this post on the 29th October 2017 it’s the #ObservetheMoon is International Observe the moon night  in which the moon will be currently least sixty five percent waxing gibbous in which Luna the moon reveals more her full moon lacy cratered wedding dress towards on the fifth November 2017……..On  a relative  clear spring  Yesterday in Auckland New Zealand night in with during that week’s night sky in which was a previously week was a rain out week thought out the country in which as I’m keyboarding this post.. It has relativity retracted the clear fine day in replacing with a cloudy rainy day…  As it was 24th October 2017 the moon Luna shade with the Earth shadow at seventeen percent Waxing Gibbous in which was four day –nights ago from the New Moon in which the Earth Shadow casted giving a total Waning Gibbous on the 20th October 2017..

As the moon was trending towards the Waxing Gibbous in which unveiling the earth shadow Terminator lacy veil, in which showing her Luna cratered embroidery lacy wedding dress slowly, as Luna rises little later by little away from the Constellation Scorpio as itself too settles earlier among with the planet Saturn looking at averagely of one billion Kilometers away also one hour ago back in time..

As this week night on the 26th October 2017, Auckland Observatory-Stardome, in which while working during the past eight in the evening that interesting night interestingly noticing a very bright transiting object transiting from the constellation Scorpio towards the Southern Cross from westward to the south is the International Space Station in which nibbling tracking looking through the eight inch Meade … looking through the lens finding it was a flat H, in which seeing the main solar panels of the international space station, with the structural trust, in which in the center is the looking at the living modules of the space station itself, in which the main radiators in which lens flared the main central station’s central structure..

During this year 2014 October to the mid November… there has been some impressive nights with the moon Luna lighting the starry night skies… progressively the planet Mars 15 light minutes ago away have been progressively moving in from a Con-junction with the Planet Saturn least hour ago away.. but now at the moment not seen as I’m posting this. As it settled down very early in the evening.. as seen from Southern Hemispheric , Auckland New Zealand… as the month progress from October, The planet Mars  path into the constellation of Sagittarius below it as it’s known as the teapot know if you can see the stick drawings of one..

As in the month of October came there was a Luna Eclipse on the eighth of October on that windy cloudy night… massively teasing the eclipse viewers..  Progressively on some clear nights there has been some awesome views of the shadowy cratered depths of the moon has it goes from the beginnings of the first quarter to the third… And recently days there have been some good International Space station spotting on the path across above the Pointers Rigel Kent- Alpha Centauri in which points the Crux the Southern Cross that inspired the New Zealand Flag…

Given that you’re in the southern hemisphere, and in Auckland then this month you’ll get to see the mid summery night at eight in the evening, in which you’ll get to see the such constellations as Orion, Canis Major, Taurus, left west wise is the open cluster is the Pleiades, Planet Jupiter in pass the constellation of Gemini…as for the westerly south.. It’s three crosses, the false, diamond, and the very true Southern Cross in which will help you find your way…

As for the moon Luna however it’s been very full at the point of Chinese Luna New Year… which happens to be on for this year is on the very day of Valentine’s Day 14th February ….. At the moment even typing away on this keyboard.. It’s still very full… One thing though on a full moon or few days pass it, you’ll get to see most of the Luna surface, but not so much the depths of the Luna landscape thou..  But mostly you’ll get to see the Maria’s (seas) the larger dark patches of the moon…

When you see the moon wink at it either in night or day …. It’s a tribute the late Astronaut Neil Armstrong …

Lost three times again…?

If you lost in somewhere in the Southern Hemisphere…? There’re three ways in finding your way in way found, finding your way around on this Planet’s southern parts.  First thing, three things, bright starry objects in the night sky, the Southern Cross, The Canopus star also the Achernar.

Now this first method finding south is pretty much easy and effective, a you need is the star Crux, which is the,  tail end  of the  Southern Cross,  and Achernar. Once found, draw a straight tangent line between the two star points,  and bisect the line between Crux and Achernar. Once you found the  bisect in between that’s the celestial south pole ( where the red square is),  then through  left arm back  one eighty degrees, you found North, then the ninety degrees from both arms you swing your left and right arms clockwise you found East on you Left and West on your Right.

Lost in a southern type of way…?

With this in mind you’ll never get lost finding youir way around in the night without a compass, in the daytime that’s a different story.
