王貞儀  WangZhenyi……. 金陈 Dance Tribute to the Female Scientists of the Qing Dynasty 200 Years Ago ….  In the thousands of years of space exploration history of the Chinese nation, there is a female scientist, Wang Zhenyi, who left a mark. They have never met before, but they share the same belief and mission. When we travel through the long river of time and space and look at Wang Zhenyi from a distance two hundred years ago, we will find that she is like the “Wang Zhenyi Star” in the universe, always shining brightly…….. she is story played by金晨 JinChen International Mainland China film and television actress…..

王貞儀 Wang Zhenyi was a Chinese scientist from the Qing dynasty. She breached the feudal customs of the time, which hindered women’s rights, by working to educate herself in subjects such as astronomy, mathematics, geography, and medicine. She was well known for her contributions in astronomy, mathematics, and poetry. Shangyuan County, Jiangning Prefecture – now Nanjing Born: 1768 Died: 1797 Parents: Wang Xichen Partner: Zhan Mei

Wang Zhenyi lived with her grandfather during her childhood. From the age of 9, her grandfather taught her to write poems and compositions. She was very sensitive to the world and human conditions, and had unique thinking and understanding of social reality. After the death of Wang Zhefu, Wang Zhenyi, her grandmother Dong, her father and others went to the funeral . They lived in Jilin for 4 years and studied under Mrs. Bu Qianyao. Wang Zhenyi was not willing to be bound by the feudal concept of male superiority and female inferiority . She believed that men and women had the same mind and knowledge was not necessarily reserved for men. Women should also have the right to seek knowledge. She opposed the concept that women could only engage in eating, drinking and sewing

. Wang Zhenyi learned riding and shooting from General Mongolia’s wife , and developed the superb skill of “hitting the target”. In the forty-ninth year of Qianlong’s reign (1784), he accompanied his father and others to escort his grandfather’s coffin back to Jiangning, and then traveled around with his grandmother, father, uncle and others. In the fifty-first year of Qianlong’s reign (1786), he returned to Tianchang’s old residence with his grandmother. Wang Zhenyi married Zhan Mei when she was 25 years old. After marriage, Wang Zhenyi did not stop studying. In the second year of Jiaqing (1797), Wang Zhenyi passed away at the age of 29.

Wang Zhenyi’s poems are simple and unpretentious, and express her feelings directly. Many of her poems reflect social reality. [6]  His representative works include “Illustrated Astrology”, “Calendar Briefs” and ” The First Collection of De Feng Pavilion “. Wang Zhenyi not only extensively dabbled in classics and epics, but also went deep into astronomy, geography, mathematics, medicine and other scientific fields that were not taken seriously at the time.  Wang Zhenyi was one of the great scholars in Chinese history. She solved many problems related to planets. He was regarded as one of the great wise men of the Qing Dynasty and is remembered by the world. Wang Zhenyi’s works influenced many scientists, mathematicians and writers in later generations.

Scientific work

Wang Zhenyi did a lot of scientific work in her short life of 29 years old. She is proficient in geography, mathematics, medicine, poetry and painting, and also understands meteorology. “What she says about sunny weather and rainy weather is not always experienced”, and her articles are “all based on facts and reasoning, and they are not inspired by others.”

Maths

It can be seen from her remaining writings that she was a female mathematician engaged in astronomical and computational research.

Calculator , also known as plan, plan, plan, etc., sometimes also called operator, is a rod-shaped calculation tool. They are usually a batch of small sticks of the same length and thickness made of bamboo or wood. They can also be made of metal, jade, bone and other materials . They are placed in a special arithmetic bag or tube when not in use. Arrange on board, felt or directly on the table. The method of calculation using “suanchi” is called ” suanchi “, and when it was introduced to Japan, it was called “arithmetic”. Calculation originated very early in China. There is a statement in ” Laozi ” that “those who are good at counting do not need to plan.” The earliest record seen is ” Sun Zi Suan Jing “. By the Ming Dynasty, calculation was gradually replaced by abacus.

In the early 17th century, the British mathematician Napier invented a calculation method, which was introduced to my country in the late Ming Dynasty and was also called “calculation”. Famous mathematicians Mei Wending , Dai Zhen and others in the Qing Dynasty once studied it. Dai Zhen called it “strategy.”

Wang Zhenyi was also engaged in researching this kind of technology introduced to our country from the West, and wrote three volumes of books to introduce Western technology to the Chinese people. She provides additional explanations of Western planning in her books, making them simple and clear. The Napier arithmetic method of multiplication and division introduced by Wang Zhenyi was considered easy to understand by readers at the time, but compared with the multiplication and division calculation methods in my country at that time, it seemed more complicated. Therefore, mathematicians did not use Western arithmetic and have always used Chinese arithmetic. Many readers regard Chinese and foreign calculations for multiplication and division as antiques, using the four arithmetic operations of written arithmetic introduced from foreign countries. This kind of written arithmetic only began to be used in 1903, so the history of using written arithmetic in China to integrate with the world is only 100 years old.

香港 #AlreadyTomorrowInHongKong- Adventuring without #TARDIS | #MACAU- The 15th century built A-Ma Temple the very temple that Gave Macau its name.. !

My next location after finding a good tour guide from is Agencia De Viagens.- Seng Wang Limitada..   is going into the Portuguese-Macau center square in which after traveling from the Macau Harbour Terminal, in which touring around the streets, the older streets in which those days before cars, known the four wheel automobile in which.. Horses, carts, horses carriages….. as travelling, touring around in a Mobile Person Vehicle… in a brown Toyota vehicle..  The tour guide driver tells the story of the street layout, in which there are tight enough for small street cars, scooters, are very popular to get around the old streets of Macau, as I notice more scooters around in Macau than in Hong Kong patience driving behind them as we passed one of the clinics that the Founder of the Republic Doctor Sun Yet Sen work in as he prepared for laying the foundations of the Republic precursory that year 1911….

As driving pass by the clinic in which, contained various medical utensils that he used during that time, in treating his patience as seen through the museum, in the nearby small hospital that’s contain his statue within the clinics courtyard…..

As you can see the secondary door way that leading up to the other pavilion temples in which is dedicated to deities, immortals great sages, also it’s dedicated to Goddess of Mercy -Guanyin….

My next stop is the 15th century A-Ma Temple in which is locatingly in Barra Square, very near towards nearby the Maritime Museum.. In which is built in 1488 AD, in which is dedicated in to the sea Goddess, Mazu, located in Sao Louurenco, in which is which is one of Macau’s oldest temples in the Special administrative Region..  Its first western depiction is once illustrated by a English artist architect- Thomas Allom……..   in which the temple is located on the doorstep on once was a shoreline.. now that doorstep have located further out into reclaim land that once berth its native to colonially sailing ships..

When you think of  region of Macau  in which the given  inspired name for the region is inspired from the,  The A- Ma Temple, as Portuguese Sailors landed on the Peninsula, in which that name is  of the Temple of the Pavilion of the Mother..

one of the organically temples in which it is a home to an immortal whom lives within the confines of that rock..

Entering towards the Main Gate of the Temple is like stepping back in time as far back towards 1488, in which, stepping back in time where you can see, feel, smell,  the acumination of all that as I walked through the temple main gates into various ones that walking beforehand you can feel see ancient paint works still back then still tells the stories of its time as the trees that grow within the various courtyards in between Gate Pavilion, the Memorial Arch, prayer Hall,  Hall of the Benevolence, in which is the oldest section of the Temple as it’s is a Taoist- Confucius Temple in which the only Buddhist component is the Hall Of Guanyin or known as the Goddess of Mercy…….. also it pays to donate some coinage as a token for the up keep, also that upkeep is that allows you burn incense..

One way of seeing how old the temple is through its design architectural construction, also how its constructed, in which this case of A-Ma Temple- Macau, orthough the inspirational design is Ming Dynasty based in which the early Qing Dynasty inspire adopted as you see the designs are translated into other temples of that era in Hong Kong, Cheung Chau to from the Canton Province extending all the way towards Nanking and Beijing where in the Ming Dynasty the designs are more elaborately detail in sense you can see that in time period of women clothing Chinese HanFu  dress from that era also the men aswell……

香港 #AlreadyTomorrowInHongKong- Adventuring without a blue box-TARDIS | Cheung Chau- Cheung Po Tsai Cave …..

Don’t’ move I’m a Hong Kong Police officer.. Wait you’re Cheung Po Tsai..?!… Also I really need to go back to 2015 Hong Kong.. !!!! ” Hong Kong Police Constable Wong Tai Mui- Grace Chan…

As Hong Kong Police Constable Wong Tai Mui- Grace Chan was investigating into a lead clue into a Cave in which turned out to be a cave, Treasure Cave of the South China Pirate King Cheung Po Tsai, Whom owned patrolled the South China Seas for any loot that he could find among from Qing Dynasty naval, British, Spanish, ships.. Among that scene Wong Tai Mui found a gold bullion coin, within the cave as she searched for any clues in relating to the Bandit king, as she mysteriously stumbles apond it…

Cheung Po Tsai Cave as I walked up the forestry pathway that’s leading it up to which is a good twenty minute striding walk through some under past of trees, with vines.. In which being on a watch full eye of any snakes in lurking along the tree branches in which, as the journey begin toward his cave it’s best to prepare for the journey.. One a very strong torch comes to mine… In which the journey starts with a Qing Dynasty inspired gateway explaining the entrance towards the Cave….  In walking up, the surrounding forest leading up towards the cave, in which you can feel you’re back in 1790 Hong Kong, or in 1790 Cheung Chau island as with the all that history, as you can hear through the wind that carrying the air into the bushes.. Like hearing the wind carrying pushing the sails of the sailing ships of Cheung Po Tsai fleet as it prepares to set out for the long haul traveling awaits them in meeting up with Qing Dynasty Navy in an interesting manner of exchanging requisitions…

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

As walking up, looking admiring the surroundings, walking alongside the track, there are some interesting items along the way first is the abandon look out post looking out into the harbour, in which is surrounded by an overgrowth of bushes.. In which looking at it seeming it dates back towards the circa 1930 to 1940’s’s in which looking at seeming the period of architecture in which back then it from that vantage point it must had some impressive views back then as time forwards on another viewing platform is establish higher leading inwards towards the Cheung Po Tsai’s Cave.. In which its views from the three level towers encompassing the whole hill throughout towering trees…  However the older platform requires much need tender love and attention as its view is rummage with overgrowth of bushes hindering its view also its walls is unfortunate of tagging or Graffiti something that’s rarely seen in Hong Kong..

As walking towards the cave, there are, some intriguing, things there’s this interesting stone work wall, seeming abandoned as padlock gated steel frame rusty door, is padlock with Chinese Traditional padlock also Chinese stonework’s… Judging from it its remains untouched for many several decades, seeming decades ago, like from the 1930’s judging from its pre-world war two design…

As I walked up, hill there’s this green signage describing the history briefly of the Cheung Po Tsai’s Cave. Also realizing that I’m standing on same filming spot in where Grace Chan stood on as she begins to investigate into what’s the Bandit King really up to this time… from that point the trek goes into further more into a five minutes’ walk, until I’ve reached towards the entrance of the cave..

Having reaching towards the Cave it seems unlike the Television series version of it in which is larger than the inside in which saying that having TARDIS moments… you may wonder there’s a small shop outside of the cave in which sell an assortment of things, in that assortment is torches in which I’ve mention earlier in making sure having a very good strong torch that illuminates, even illuminates daylight.. Sizes wise the cave is small and narrow in which to fit luckily to for me my dress size is in between eight and ten, in which is a good thing..

Having the correct dress size in going into the narrow cave, in I lower myself down into a very darken cavern, stepping downwards into an almost lit downwards spotlighting in the cave in which gives you amount of time to get my torch in well lighting up the cave neatly.. as before I entered there was a memorable moment when I found a father with his two children, telling the stories of the cave also its owner Cheung Po Tsai.  As I continue like Wong Tai Mui-Grace Chan exploring the cave, within it, seeing it first-hand it was sort of disappointing at first, due to the moderate amount of litter that was present in the cave, exploring it for a good seven or more meters down the tunnel in which lead to another opening..   as exploring around the tunnel Cheung Po Tsai treasure Haul must have been a modest size in nature, but given the surrounding stories of his treasure it could been in another place on the same hill, saved like an insurance policy for just in case, or seeming he taken it with him in Peking when got offered the Qing Dynasty Government Naval Marshall’s position in protecting his and their interest at the same time..
