2011 Lunar Eclipse- December 11th

You may wonder on the 11th  December 2011 that there was an Lunar eclipse, this one is when the Earth shadows the moon.  At this time watching the Lunar eclipse from the Stardome Observatory in Auckland started in the early hours of the morning of one O’clock then it settled for a blushing Luna Rosa roughly about 3:30 New Zealand time with daylight saving taking into account. It lasted up to an hour or two for the build up for the moon to be shrouded by the shadow of  Earth.

There was handsome handful of crowds of people whom waited ever so generously for the open windows of  the night sky  to open up, but only to be sheer up dressing by the ever so constant robbing of  clouds on  an opportunistic night.

That opportunistic night gave a slight unrevealing of the planet Jupiter, as the weather teased us. That teasing of the clouds gave a flirting whether that you going to see the moon blushing or concealing it from seeing it red. In some case that it did, and did get some photographs before it cloud over, with the Earth shadow nibbling at the whiteness of the surface of the moon.

At the most times I was helping everyone else getting good shots of using either photographic devices, of cameras and smart phones. In most case the smart phones of mostly used on that night was the iPhone 4 series including the iPhone 4s.  After having founding using the iPhone 4 series I found it reliable, and also it’s easy to run it having experience so many in different languages that it was prescribe to,  as in for the minority the Android phones was interesting there was so many camera applications to used, but the standard stock one proved to worthy holding it’s reputation to compete with it’s melee against the Apple iPhone 4 series.

By the time of  between 3:30 and four in the morning onwards New Zealand daylight savings time, the clouds, the weather flirted with us one more time before it long robe itself with clouds to finally to see any other glimpse of the moon blushing. But one last photo shoot of some one whom a Russian just only purchase her camera only days ago finally got the perfect photos that I consign to her the moon finally blushing in Luna Rosa, in orange red citrine in a glow.

Armageddon 2011- part two

This Armageddon 2011, Auckland,  has been an interesting one, normally it runs during the course of the labour weekend, but as this year It made way for a sporting event, the Rugby world cup.

I’ve notice this year that there were least stalls that the last, most of the stalls from the last decide to moved into having larger units to cover move retail estate coverage, like how you may find in a Farmers Market. First you dabble in a small stall, then when it works out you’ll go for a larger next later.

As for cosplay, still trending constantly  yearly is Star Wars,  following by other television shows such as collection of Doctor Who, trending with a gaming, marvel, DC Comic characters, Star Trek, also one other is trending popular is Steam punk, as shown on the last few episodes of the Guild, when Carla rescuing her newly found steam punk friends  from a spectator  airship display disaster  then to winning an award for best group cosplay in Con, Megagame-o-ramacon.

The last day of the event happen to be very, interesting, it was quieter than from the start day of Friday, this is due too that it carry on through to a working Monday, having been a working day, the presence of a crowd was lost, had it been held in the previous week where It would have drawn the same attention as the weekend

Deconstruction happen early, as there’s a few guest around in the last few hours of five in the afternoon came to a drawing curtain close, mostly of the stalls holders began lest half an hour prior closing time. but one good thing during that day, there are some specials if you hang around long enough to bartering.

Armageddon 2011- part one

Today is the first day of Armageddon 2011,Auckland, so far there have been a few changes lately. Even though the even is a little late than one week, and shifted to the following week from the labour weekend. This is partially to make way for the Rugby World Cup that was held in New Zealand.  Other wise the events wise it’s been rather tidy when I walked, this may have been it’s a Friday, a working day,  also too  it just opened at eleven in the later morning and I arrived least a hour later.

I’ve notice that there are three main game studios occupying the main center off the convention center, Microsoft Xbox,  Playstation, and EA games. Last few years Playstation held there stall spotting over the years. And opposing it’s it Microsoft Xbox showing it’s open plan stand with it’s Kinect gamming stations and it’s abilities which successively over Sony’s Playstation’s motion controller. Also to add also is other Game studios which have been traditional there is Activision, also Blizzard.

One thing though I’m rather impressive of EA games also Microsoft Xbox, Kinect display, it’s refine also elegant, where Sony’s playstation is clubbing it down with a in house DJ.

There are few games to look out for which have been featured on the floor, this Friday, mostly are such as EA’s Battlefield 3, Mass effect 3, Dragon Age series, also other tittles such as Gears of war 3, Batman – Arkham City, Call of Duty-Modern warfare three. Uncharted three- Drake’s Deception. Forza- Motorsport four.

INSTANT EYES -Rocket Lab

Another New Zealand innovation that caught my attention while at the Cloud at the Queen’s wharf, Auckland’s viduact,  is the Rocket lab, Instant Eyes.  During  2009 November 30th , Rocket lab made an important mile stone for New Zealand’s innovation, one happen to be the innovation of commercial rocket company in beginning stages of the development. It took time for Rocket lab to develop the technology themselves from the ground up.

Now they’re developing intelligence gathering devices through the concept of launching low attitude probes to gather observation aerial view of the, launched from a rocket, jettison from within 20 seconds and seeing buildings from above that could giving the ground troops critical life or death situations decisions providing those vital , very critical data coverage at a safe distance at 300 meters live stream to any wireless device in the field of operations.

Instant eyes is a hand held device it has a red trigger on the lanuch tube,  it’s propell by a soild rocket fuel rocket motor, like the ones that are found on the SRB (Solid Rocket Boosters for additional lift). Once it’s launched it reaches to a height of one Kilometer for thirteen seconds to do it’s perform task of being parachuted down gently  to take high resolution imaging in real time of the targeting zone.

It has a altitude of one Kilometers, field of view of one Kilometer, has a image resolution of five megapixels, having weighting at half a kilogram, also can be ready to deployment within 20 seconds.
