Improved efficiency
Thanks to their elegant winglets and advanced LEAP engines, our Airbus A321neo aircraft are more efficient than ever, delivering a 22 per cent reduction in CO2 emissions per seat and a 55 per cent reduction in NOx emissions when compared to the previous A321.
They’re quieter too, creating almost 15 per cent less noise than existing aircraft. This means a more comfortable experience for you – and makes us a better neighbour, in the skies and on the ground.

In the Cabin The Air conditioning System in every one of our aircraft is equipped with HEPA filters which have a similar performance to those used in hospitals operating rooms , The Cabin Air refreshes every two to three minutes , Together with a Triple defence barrier the Air condition system can filter up to 99.99 percent of airborne particles the movement of air also plays an important role. The filtered air does not flow between passengers it flows from ceiling to the cabin floor before exhausting our from the cabin….
Before your flight and between every single flight we thoroughly clean the entire cabin making sure to wipe and disinfect your seat and everything around it like your armrest, seatbelt, tray table , overhead compartment , monitor as well common areas paying special attention to the lavatories and door handles… we use one of the world’s strongest disinfectants – NetbioKem DSAM.. to ensure the Cabin is completely sanitised ….. And we change every single headset, head rest cover pillow cover, bed sheet and blanket so you can be sure of getting a new clean set when you board … We will offer blocked seats, whenever possible .. You can rest assured that everyone onboard has had their Temperature’s and health history checked… And we required all passengers and crew to wear a face covering throughout the flight ……
Your will also receive a Cathay Care kit which contain useful essentials like an extra face covering and antiseptic wipes and you’ll find hand sanitisers in all our cabin wash rooms so you can easily keep your hand clean.. We have made a few temporary adjustments to our meal service across all classes as guided by our aviation medical team to make sure we prioritise your wellbeing as always while making sure we offer a meal you’ll enjoy….. Outbound Crew ……. Taking Care of our cabin crew is and will remain very important to us… before reporting for duty we check the temperatures of every member of the team and require a detailed health declaration ……. an d while onboard, we equip every member of the team with the protective gear they need.. We’ve introduced stricter rules to make sure our cabin crew minimises contact with the local community during their layover, as much as possible..

If your intentions is to be warm and kind and take care of people then that needs to be the starting point for everything you do ……. So we always look at how a space will affect how people feel.. Something that makes them have a better experience… by being in that space….. Ilse travels a lot and travel can be extremely brutal. As we all know Airports can be pretty stressful experiences, they’re brightly lit, chaotic….. In the Cathay Pacific Space, the most important moment we felt was going to the lounge the boundary between the noisy, stressful airport and this kind of sanctuary, if you like…. But that was extremely conscious, so the light is low, the level of sound is quite soft, the materials are warm and tactile.. So we really wanted to orchestrate that transition from one world towards the next…… I want that somebody feels that someone cares…. But I also want that it feels heartfelt…. One of the lovely things that’s I’ve heard is that people sometimes leave work early just to be in lounge for an extra hour, which is pretty unheard of.. …. It’s really a Joy, I must say to goes through the lounges now and seeing people chatting, relaxed, happy it’s not common in airports and it’s just so rewarding to see it working….. “
