ARMAGEDDON AKL-2014 | Cosplay….?

This year 2014 “Armageddon Auckland” has been even larger in patronage, this year the crowds have been larger in volume as orthough it’s held in duration of the New Zealand Labour weekend traditionally of between 24th to 27th October 2014 … it’s been very crowded, than to last years.. As thinking that this year, there were changes to this year’s organisation…

This year’s cosplay have been very impressive as from last years… as there were more in variation in Television, film, comics,  Scifi, Animie and gaming.. The more recent arrival is the “Game of Thrones”, “Frozen-Once a upon a time” Anime and gaming…

Gaming mostly ranging from Tomb Raider, home built Halo cosplays, to a combinations of many variations of Assassin Creeds characters,  a couple of Final Fantasy XII Claire Farron otherwise she is known as Lightning..

As for Scifi Television and film there was a collection from Star Trek, as for Star Wars the 501 in which they also were doing some charity work in various Stormtroopers uniforms, Jedi Knights, Darth Vader.. Providing also that cute Astrometric Droid R2D2… as from Star Trek there was a collection of Girls in between The Original Series also in the JJ Abrams Star Trek uniform dress in either in mostly the Tactical Red, and the Science Blue…also that there was other Starfleet uniforms, ranging from the Wrath of Khan to The Next Generation.. as for Stargate.. There was many in battle fatigues with many in different divisions of Stargate one provide one Battlestar Galatica Colonial officer…. As to Doctor Who, There were many creative cosplays of the Doctor’s companion Clara Oswald in with 11th and 12th Doctor with the company of weeping angels … As this year is for Game of Thrones… With Sansa Stark, Arya Stark also too Joffrey… in this there was some cosplays of from the hobbit movie…

STAR WARS | _your Lightsaber umbrellas_ your defense against rain….?

At the moment it’s raining over here, also it’s over cast and I’ve got one these, the “Samurai sword umbrella” it serve me well, but not with the Katana also the smaller version the Tanto though, to hack and slash protectively against rain…!  Also just recently watched Keanu Reaves’s 47 Ronin… Also the “Blade runner” and having finding the neon tube umbrella…  Then thinking what makes a good umbrella collection, having found this is for your umbrella collection…

It’s a “Star Wars Lightsaber umbrella”… it features three Saber handles devices such as Yoda’s green, Darth Vader’s red… also Obi-Wan’s blue handle blade..  The length of the Lightsaber umbrella is least 39 inches.. It features a black umbrella cover with either the Imperial or Jedi insignia … having the same amount of umbrella coverage of to the Samurai umbrella with the Canopy Diameter of 47 inches..  one nice thing is having the different brightly coloured shafts is it’ll will stand out in traffic creating a safety feature akin to the Blade Runner’s neon lighted umbrella for night time… also it comes with easy to carry over shoulder sheath.. so it helps you around the city hands free while you’re out in about..

COSPLAY | Lightning-Claire Farron- Alannah Pearce

Adventuring Cosplaying Lightning is Alannah Pearce, this is her second time doing cosplay, cosplaying as the leading character in the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy of Lightning also know to her sister Serah, as Claire Farron.. As it’s her main only quest to save her sister Serah, and only family and in good company of friends…  Also Lightning-Claire Farron is one of my Favorite Protagonists…

In this Alannah explains how she got all the pieces together the Blazefire Gunblade, the  standard Guardian corps uniform, also in this she explains how she constructed the wired paper Mache the green metallic pauldron over her left shoulder.. Also Lightning’s Guardian Corps full length boots..  the blue eye contacts,  the pink hair, also it became a learning experience for what to do next in the next cosplay..

At the end the rewarding results are pretty cool. With excellent photo shot of photographer Chris Volk, also with the vlogging of the whole process is her Friend Rory…

As to arriving very early, also admiring the weather of blue fine skies with moderately placed fluffy clouds, then prescribing myself getting my early prescriptions of four or five shot lattes, to wake me up, after a drive in it took my morning instant espresso coffee out.

This year cosplay, has been different, it’s pretty much diversify, in sense it cover almost every single possible genre.. from gaming, scifi to animie manga, Notability there’s been more of Doctor who… girls and guys cosplaying in either mostly the Matt Smith Doctor, than to the David Tennant’s Doctor… also there was some interesting uniquely tardis dresses, dressed in the blue box dress fashion , there was one impossible girl known as Clara Oswin, and a couple of excellent scary weeping angels…  there was also the Dalek Dress girl, as well Daleks from different times of series from the classic, ironsides to the Cult of Skaro .. But one thing it’s going to be interesting to see, what Peter Capaldi’s Doctor is going to wear where he becomes the 12th Doctor..

On the comic front, there was the traditionally duo of harlequin queen and her slave The Joker…. Impressively cosplayed, of using the DC universe of Batman Asylum as a brilliant reference, as to the Joker, it was likewise aswell. Among that genre there was Diana- Wonder Woman, super girl.   Captain America..  Marvel’s Movie Loki, the Arrow’s the Arrow himself also the Black Canary.. Among them is Catwoman….

Game, film and television wise cosplay it was interesting, walking around the halls of Armageddon, it seems that there’s been more of Assassins Creed cosplayers than from last.. Roaming around the halls location of Ubisoft’s Assassins Creed gaming centre,  nearby that there was the Xbox live roaming also was brilliantly worked cosplay on Master Chief’s armoury 117 combat suit.. also his escort the trustee Starfleet officer from the NX01 days..  Among them also is the different variances of stormtroopers, in different eras of the Star wars Universe.. Plus with the exception of the Rebels having a X-wing fighter pilot, also a Jedi… the exception is a Zombie Storm trooper in which he haunts the halls..   Also I got the met the Cosplayer winner in Melbourne with his Game of Thrones in his Lannisters Armour.

Magically wise there was a few Hogwarts students around also there partnering schools in finding and defending against the dark lord, for he could not be named..

Game wise there was a very good selection, there was Fem Shepard from the Mass Effect series, also as mention above the assassins but the very impressive ones I’ve seen is Ironman also as Tony Stark, the Tardis girl, Fem Shepard,  but one brilliantly impressive one is the Cosplayer whom did Claire Farron… Known as Lighting or Light..  Final Fantasy XIII– Lighting returns… she did a awesome job in creating lighting’s clothing in an intricately highly delicate degrees detailed….
