The daylight Moon named Luna!

Sometimes when you see the moon during the afternoon hours of the day till twilight during the summer season, it has a different glow, the texture is different, it’s more hue with blues skies with the summer seasonings.

The luna texture is sky baked among with the summer atmosphere, having, plastered surface. when you look through a telescope during daylight, it has a different flavour from the night sky, when view you see the blue-tinted glass sky but even closer it breaks ever so gentle in to the inking of space.  Unlike when taking photographs of the moon during the night sky, the images is smoother, creamy rather than plastered surfaced

This time I’ve used a different photographic equipment, instead of  using the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W180 which I typically used most of the time. This time I decide to experiment on Apple iPhone 4 onto a ten inch Meade LX200 Telescope and the Stardome Auckland Observatory’s 30 inch Zeiss  ,  at first it took sometime to get used to but in the end it’s very impromptu.  I love the touch screen feature which it help with zooming in. its’ very simple to used, plus the HRD which makes the images richer.

It took some time to get used to, but it work out in the end , by placing the camera lens right next to the lens.  and a lot of patience but in the end it all work out.

Long time ago a Galaxy far away!

Planning too join the rebellion against the evil empire of Emperor Palatine. well this game app does allow for you to join the rebellion. This game app is called Star Wars trench run version two it’s by THQ wirless! It’s basically reliving the challenging battles from Episodes four of the Star wars, episodes. Naming ” A new hope”

Have you every wonder?, what was like to play the games that are in the days of dancing the robot dance( thanks to C3PO for creating those awesome dance moves), watching movies and memorable moments on the VCR ( either VHS or BETA )? . There’s this game App that I’m addicted too that brought wonderful memories of being flying through the trenches of the Death Star, trying to voiding the sneaky blaster cannons that awaits you every single moments that you entered into the trenches just try to fire Torpedos into the a small hole, which is a heat venting conduit which leads to the heart of the Death Star’ reactor. also reliving favourite moments, escaping from the Death Star after rescuing Princess Leia, then battling it all out to escape, with that mysterious cargo that the Stromtroopers place by the orders of Darth Vader.

This game allows you to enter in various ships of you choosing from the classic X-Wing, to the infamous wicked modified YT-1300 freighter The millennium Falcon, the classic Tie Fighter, also Vader’s fighter or just your average Y-wing fighter. The game allows you fly in different missions dogfights, trenches, and Han Solo. One night feature that I’ve like is the changablitiy of between first and third person view in flying combat. Some how playing this game app bring back remembering the days of playing it at the arcades, when it was all wire frame, before it was skin and textured.

Playing this requires a little bit more skill, in saying this I use and still to play a lot of Star Wars also that goes for Star Trek PC games in the past both requires Joystick, Keyboarding and Mousing. Playing with the Phone requires a lot of moment and balancing with the wrist movements, that means taking the game a seldom slower than the intense PC gaming, where you just go in into the fight like flying a Viper, and creating nothing but the rain out from Cyclons in Battlestar Galatica. But if there’s a Battlestar Galatica version out there I like to know.

The Star Wars trench run, is great when you need adventuring life out from Tatooine, and will give you workout.

Lost!

How many times that, when you look up the stars and wonder which is which. Well few weeks ago I’ve download a very useful app from the iTunes store. It’s very, well so very useful. I practical use it when I’m outdoors viewing the stars at night with the very helpful assistance of manually use a Meade telescope.

The app is call Stellaruim, I’ve used in the past, the PC version, it’s very easy to use. When you use the Pc version it’s best to locate your position first, so the Stellaruim knows where you are so it can best find you the viewing positions for you to view the stars and other stella objects in the night and day skies.  the program is very easy to use it has time lapse so you could see the motions through out the night and day sky forward and back in time as the sky motions around.

One of the many features around it, it has settings menu, which allow you to customised your background, scripts  into the software, like changing the background sence, the amount of information that you like to see on, like, star lines, constellations grid lines.  Other features that I like about stellaruim is the information about the stella object that you’ve lock on, when using the app it does the same but with the an extra feature which utilities the GPS features on the iphone.  which give you more exact viewable location.

With the iPhone app it’s a much nice feel, your astronomy friends will probably envy for the abilities it does, it’s portable than using a laptop, and you can utilize the touch features of the iPhone,  and it’s quite sassy!
