STAR TREK ONLINE | like a dress in red.

It’s about a few day later since we got back from the Briar Patch after milling around, tweaking the ship, and finding used and new components to modify for installation and there’s also always shopping.

The away team and I, head back to the starship, started her up, her systems, warp core, impulse drives, warp drive, keeping weapons and defensives ratings on stand by for just in case if given any incursions that if there is.

Once we got started we started heading back to the same region where the Briar Patch is there’s a system that we haven’t been to yet. So making a course correction still in the Sirius sector Block, going past the Vulcan , Orion, then the Risa Sector where the Briar Patch is. We meant to head to the Imaga, but heard intel that there’s something interesting.

We’ve contact Starfleet, and the reported intel seems that the some unusually activity in the Koolhass system. So we proceeded to investigate.

Once warp into the Koolhass system, looking at the spatial environment, there’s a gaseous planet much like Saturn in the Sol System but only larger and slightly roasted golden. The planet is also ringed with debris of dust rocks, ice and other captured torn asteroids that vinyl around the planet, unlike Saturn the background of space is glowed form the nebula of the Briar Patch.

Reports suggest that’s there’s large deposits of Declalithium in the asteroids, some how that is very bad news, Declalithium is the raw material is in the production to procure red matter.

Knowing how dangerous red matter is and its devastating nature after the incident on the Romulan home world, using red matter to halt the impending supernova. It’s best to secure the system before anyone does. Also section 31 reports that Spock is no where to be found in this universe also among with his ship, and reports that there’s a spatial lighting storm in space.

One thing this mission is just a drop out of warp, impulse and scan for Declalithium, orthough I thought? There were surprise along the way having to scan the whole circumference of the ring debris Koolhass planet.

Surprising along the way, there were also gatecrashers, they were Klingon, they’ve must off caught on the news that red matter is the next best thing to the Starfleet’s Genesis Device.

At first there were a party of three Klingon Bird of prey class, but even more has we scan further deeper. Normally in this case out gun one Miranda class versa three bird of prey. There’s a few advantages that we undertook, the asteroids, and changing the shield, phasers weapons ratings in combination and also lowering the velocity that will keep my distance.

Having keeping her distances between the Klingons in attacking that will give more room to maneuver, also balancing out her shields and weapons ratings. Balancing out shields is another thing always rotating, discovering that having been direct attack it weaken the forwarding shields to the ship, but discovering rotating the ship around in dancing tango, will even out and minimizing her hull and shield breaches.

Phaser firing is other thing after discovering having to modify the ship’s phaser arrays firing. We tried all tried out the different combinations or accessories on her, from with least angled phaser arcs with the most, the one we’ve stuck with on her fashionably , is with the most, that will keep us shielded for quite some time.

Another advantage, asteroids. We found is hiding behind them, will provide us with cover also adding repairing her, and also buying time as you go for another round of battling it all out. The Klingons also buy there time to recover from our folly of attacks by cloaking. The moment that we think we’ve got them halfway in the folly, they cloak. Once they decloak they’ve made the necessary repairs. In the tango dancing of the combat, we discovering to focus on one target first then on to the next, panicking doesn’t help either way when you’re out numbered.

What also interesting is that picking up items along the way, after each Klingon dancing partner falls from grace, raiding. That might be used to bank, exchange for procurement of other interesting accessories.

Mostly along the way the interesting gatecrashers that met were the typical Klingon Bird of Preys, K’tinga, Negh’Var, Vor’cha, classes they pretty much make of the dancing Tango partners that she met along the way one by one they drop in the folly of lashes of her sliky phaser ribbons lashings and the rain of spinning ninja stars of quantum torpedoes.

Once we finalized the scans of the seven deposits of Declalithium. The Koolhass systems is secure has we hail reporting back to Starfleet Command and proceed to warp out from the system. As we heard that there’s another situation which involves an enemy contact, another time…..spoilers.

STAR TREK ONLINE | Ensign’s log part two

Shopping? who doesn’t like going shopping. when you’re on Star Trek online. As I mention in my previous blog where you could go out there in upgrading your ship, but there are other options out there also. With in any given missions or other battle, that you collect items along the way. Some of the items are components, that you’ve collect during a battle in space ,or ground surface away team missions.

Now you’ve wondering what to do with them, well for one some of the components that you’ve earn can be upgrade your star ship, you’re ship personnel another is of you.  During most missions that you’ve collected a lot of items and your inventory is full, like most of the time mine is, no wonder my ship is heavy. There’s other ways of deposing it for credits, such as in selling it, or storing into your bank.

Having a bank isn’t a bad idea, when storing important items when you need it. Just in case either,  you’ve just ran out of energy credits, your inventory is full and needs deposing of into the bank, or you need some items to trade and sell off just to get extra more energy credits. It also comes in handy when you’re in a Guild or Fleet  that you deposit some items into the fleet bank just to help it out or when you decide to withdraw some items out.

Okay, shopping.  when you decide to shop around you may find that you’re on a shopping spree, from gaming experience is not to go to far with shopping, same as real life. Only spend what you really need. otherwise you end up with the same equipment and can’t go onwards too much harden mission, without upgrading your crew and your ship. That goes also when you trying to save and earn upgrading to other vessels  as well.

There are many ways to shop, also many places to shop.  the most common ones are in Starbases, or outposts where you could trade, sell, procure items such as new items of costumes, for you and your crew, also cosmetics change the way of your Avatar to look too after encountering the Tailor.  As you tour around more, you see there are wares for equipments, weapons, medical and other items of use. As you tour further, around you’ll see different species of merchants whom you also could trade and sell items to.  One thing good about this shopping experiences is once that you sold your particular piece of items you could always buy it back, it’s never gone. It remembers what you sold, and later you could buy it back for later purposes.

As to off site shopping in sector space, you may encounter some mechant freighters that you could also trade and sell, but as to being in sector space some items are pretty limited as to being to the shopping experiences on Starbases and outposts.

There’s another store that comes to mind, is the c-store for star trek online where you could purchase other items as well, and seasonally promotions on items, like new uniforms, ships upgrades interior, exterior wise, and other items.  also there’s also another form credits beside energy credits, is the c-store credits, also much require need when purchasing special items.

One ways of increasing earning credits, is go on co-op mission with other gamers, team up, and the rewards will get you rapidly faster, also this will increase you level of game play plus even more shopping along the way. but shop moderately though and save you important items in the bank, when and just in case you might just need them to upgrade. but have fun shopping.

STAR TREK ONLINE | Ensign’s log part one

Starting out after getting on top of the training assignment. Your first take fighting out in a heavy starship, fighting the fight Borg, in a phaser fight. figuring out how to operate a medical tricorder to determine to figure out what the injured needed. you make you way to the engineering section where’s there is a firefight between the Borg and the crew. there’s a few option fight the fight, and gain even more phaser firing experience within the tactical weapons buttons of between the keyboard numbers of 1, which set to kill, 2, set to stun, 3 a fist fight action is going on.

In all doubts with the Borg, chose key number one, never question the Borg to get some friendly answers, other wise it gets friendly with you to for assimilation.

After making the way through to the transporter room, you be granted your first officer by either selecting the officers best traits, or just the extremely good looks you’ll see either it’s either a Female or male officer you had in mind?

With the good looks in mind comes the fun part which, you could modify there looks and physical attributes, clothing attire in every manner? Interesting take you time. Interested?

later that you transport with your selected cadet and your real missions and assignments starts on earth in receiving your first ship. which isn’t to bad after giving a standard one at start, you begin to explore what you could make out of modifying a Marinda Class Starship, the ones that seen on Star Trek the Wrath of Khan the USS Reliant, mostly seen on The Next Generation, Deep space nine, Voyager and the you may see the older version of it on JJ Abrams the ones with the two engineering hulls.

This is where the real fun gets, modifying your first Starship, beside of modifying your Avatar and your bridge crew’s good looks, physical attributes, and attire. also when you earn enough credits, and Atari tokens you could definite go shopping.

before you head off to the modifying you first Starship, there a few visit along the way, to the Admirals office in getting yourself some assignments, and that earn points along the way and getting another crew member as a reward, or others such as skill upgrades which could increase of getting more of a larger ship later on.

There’s one thing I’ve learned after Battling out in Star Trek Bridge Commander is to get you ship inside out and stick to ones that you know best also adventure a little bit more on other classes and vessels types which could provide an advantage later on.

Here’s the second fun part, besides of creating you Avatar, and crew modifying.

when you earn enough credits and skill upgrades this what else you could do!

Questions is what is your Avatar, crew, and ship design like?
