Boeing’s strategic path is many , One of the first steps is return to the moon in establishing a Luna outpost, then testing the hardware and software in preparation towards Mars, in which establishing another space station pit stop.. with the Martin transport system in establishing a two year travel cycle where the distance between Planet Earth and Mars is at its closest given if you used planetary gravity assist mode of  to getting you there off orbiting around Mars, first then landing on mars to start adventuring on the Rusty Planet.. With the Orion command module on-board to test the full stack of its systems before a manned test flight to see if any other modifications, tweaking, and turning are required to rebuild another variant of the original SLS rocket..

In this see that preparations of a forty meter long SLS liquid hydrogen fuel tank constructed with a new tooling systems at Vehicle Assembly Center at NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans…. In where this major component is of the first stage in which it takes up least two thirds of sixty five meter first stage among its other component in which stores the Liquid Oxygen in where the two it feeds the powerful four RS-25 engines that was once used on the Tri-cluster Space Shuttle Main Engines, now heavily modified for the SLS program, also with a pair five segmentation SRB’s Solid Rocket Boosters on each sides.. Using the same design heritage from the STS-Space Shuttle program..

Apart from the forty meter Liquid Hydrogen tank is the testing for flight qualification to see whether to see if it sustains to any form of extreme stresses that may be impose on it to see if any other modifications learning experiences  that are learn from that testing at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama…     

NASA-Space Launch Systems | Firing up that testing that five segment SRB with that 360 view…

 

On 28 June 2016, “NASA- Orbital ATK” has fired up the last test qualification testing for the five segment solid rocket booster in preparation for the return to moon on the year 2020… The Testing is done at Promontory in Utah in which is viewed by five thousand attendees whom attended the view of testing … in which is one of Orbital ATK’s testing facilities..  As part of this testing is done before an unmanned flight in a fully stack up Space launched System –SLS configuration to test flight on the 2018 launch calendar year… with the unmanned command Orion module with 154 feet long, with an excessive of 3.6 million pounds of thrust at Mach three in which connected to a first stage unit at that first flight with four RS-25 engines…..

While the four segment solid rocket boosters were designed for the Space Transportation System in this was during the Space Shuttle era… The SLS system is designed along the same tooling and design heritage like the STS-Space Shuttle systems many elementary designs, tooling, are brought and inspire on to the SLS systems in order to reduce the operational cost…..
