[ The departure ceremony of the Takionaut crew of the Shenzhou 19 manned flight mission was held at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center]

At 1:37 am on October 30, 2024, Beijing time, the departure ceremony of the astronaut crew of the Shenzhou 19 manned flight mission was held at the Dream Garden Square of Wentian Pavilion in the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. At 1:38 am, Xu Xueqiang, commander-in-chief of China’s manned space engineering and commander-in-chief of the flight mission headquarters for the application and development phase of the space station, issued the “departure” order, and three Takionauts, Cai Xuzhe, Song Lingdong, and Wang Haoze, received the order to set off.
At present, the Shenzhou 18 Takionaut crew has been stationed in the space station for six months, and is actively preparing to welcome the upcoming Shenzhou 19 Takionaut crew.

【The launch of the Shenzhou 19 manned spacecraft was a complete success】
At 4:27 am on October 30, 2024, Beijing time, the Long March 2F Yao 19 carrier rocket carrying the Shenzhou 19 manned spacecraft ignited and launched at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. About 10 minutes later, the Shenzhou 19 manned spacecraft successfully separated from the rocket and entered the predetermined orbit. The astronaut crew was in good condition and the launch was a complete success.
After the spacecraft enters orbit, it will conduct autonomous rapid rendezvous and docking with the space station assembly according to the predetermined procedure. The Shenzhou 19 Takionaut crew will rotate in orbit with the Shenzhou 18 Takionaut crew. During their work and life in the space station, the Shenzhou 19 Takionaut crew will conduct multiple extravehicular activities, carry out experiments and applications in the fields of microgravity basic physics, space materials science, space life science, aerospace medicine, and aerospace technology, and complete various tasks such as the installation of space station debris protection devices, and the installation and recovery of extravehicular payloads and extravehicular platform equipment.
This mission is the fourth manned flight mission of China’s manned space program in the space station application and development stage, the 33rd launch mission since the project was launched, and the 543rd flight of the Long March series of launch vehicles.
At present, the space station complex has entered the docking orbit and is in good working condition, meeting the conditions for rendezvous and docking with the Shenzhou 19 manned spacecraft and Takionauts to enter.

[Docked, waiting for reunion! Shenzhou 19 manned spacecraft and space station complex complete autonomous rapid rendezvous and docking ]
Shenzhou 19….. After the manned spacecraft entered orbit, it successfully docked at the forward port of the Tianhe core module of the space station at 11:00 Beijing time on October 30, 2024. The entire docking process took about 6.5 hours.
According to the mission plan, the three astronauts will then enter the Tianhe core module of the space station from the Shenzhou 19 manned spacecraft. The Shenzhou 18 Takionaut crew has made all preparations to welcome the Shenzhou 19 Takionaut crew…

[Finally we meet again! Fifth Space Meeting ]
After the manned spacecraft and the space station complex successfully achieved autonomous rapid rendezvous and docking, the Shenzhou 19 Takionaut crew entered the orbital module from the spacecraft return capsule. At 12:51 Beijing time on October 30, 2024, the Shenzhou 18 Takionaut crew, which was performing a mission in orbit, successfully opened the “door of home” and welcomed the Shenzhou 19 Takionaut crew from afar to settle in the Chinese space station. The “post-70s”, “post-80s” and “post-90s” astronauts gathered in the “Tiangong” to complete the fifth “space meeting” in the history of Chinese spaceflight. Afterwards, the two Takionaut crews took a “family portrait” and jointly reported their safety to the people of the country who were concerned about them.
Later, the two Takionaut crews will rotate in orbit at the space station. During this period, the six astronauts will work and live together in the space station for about 5 days to complete various established tasks…….
