BSG ONLINE | Vipers pilot log part one

Starting out, after training by Starbuck and getting to know your environment, your curiosity get the better of you. you explore your surrounds at first you end up with the Galatica fleet, also with the Pegasus as well at Alpha Ceti on the map. When you’re flying out, around the spatial enviroment you notice that not much of action in this sector at the moment, given the sector is well guarded, for quite some time. I gather when you look at the map it’s layer out like chess board the Cylons on the right and the Colonials on the left. Each sector is won or lost depending the outcome of the mining for resources and battling out when resources are needed to win. there’s a cross-bar showing the outcomes of the battle.

When you lost in the field, there’s a hot key N, with this in mind, this shows up you position, the positioning of both the Colonial fleet in Alpha Ceti, Delta Canopis, as for the Cylons it’s 242 Apollo 10, also position at 47 Tartalon. Having in mind of a chessboard the MMO (massive multiplayer online) you could jump from on star system to the next, depending on the availability of fuel credits that you have for starters you have enough to last for few battles, and then ending up needing for more fuel credits by exploring old relics to find and useful debris, and scanning for mineral resources so your side could mine, what ever your side that you decide to take. I’ve chosen Human. One thing at the most is to team up so you could share the earning gains in the battle instead of singularly battling it all out, and finding yourself losing credits which is Cubits/Tylium to repairing and upgrading you viper or Cylon Raider.

One thing in mind when you decide to Jump to another system you find you using fuel credits Tylium, use it in moderate fashion, other wise knowing for a while you’ll get stuck on star system and doing almost the same rounds of chores, this also go for Cubits aswell, when you find or taken an item after the battle, you can exchange for Cubits or Tylium when you see the ship’s engineer. Otherwise there the purchasing for more option subscribing, which give you more Cubits/Tylium to do some serious upgrading or purchases.

I came out watching the original Battlestar Galatica in the 1980’s, it has it moments, but then I’ve since back then being watch re-runs of the original series of Star Trek.

There’s been numberous games regarding to this genre, but one is recent, Battlestar Galatica online, at the moment it’s on beta. Previous several months ago I was online with another  MMO ( Massive Multiplayer online), Star Trek online. I’ve played  game online mostly on the Star Trek genre, Star Trek elite force, Star Trek Bridge Commander, also mostly of the star wars genre also too.

The game is produce by BigPoint.com, plus they also do other games genre aswell.

I would say this isn’t to bad, there’s no software to purchase, where you download a game plug-in where you play within the browser. you sign up, create your avatar chosing between which sides you partake in, Cyclon or Human. In this case I’ve chosen Human.

When you enter the thearter, you set few decades after the last episode  of Caprica, when they left off, when the STO (solders of the one ) Cult have made there hallmarks in the thirteen tribe.  The battle is looking grim for the Humans, the Cyclons are fighting over for resources to build for even more various of  defense, same with the Humans.

After chosing Human, you set out be train in Viper just to get the basics right, flying , by Starbuck herself.  Once you mastered the basics of flying the viper, either you could explore your surroundings, and then you may dock with the Battlestar Galatica  BSG 75.

There’s one thing that I’ve found out in this game, or thought it’s in Beta, it’s a MMO. That means you have to earn cash, find items to trade exchange for currently of types to get parts, upgrades for your Viper. and when you need the extra credits to get more upgrades, there’s credit card payments as well, pretty much like Star trek online. Either of having time cards, or paying credit for more time. When you do get more credit you get to exchange for a large vessel progression wise with more fire power.   In this case  I gather taking it slowly earning credit as I go along.

At first when you’re in, you tend to find a fight, which is not the best thing to do, but been curious does that, or go in explore. In this case I explore, then some how that the fight will find you.  

At the moment I’m in the Alpha Ceti sector, with the BSG 75 fleet,  Just dock with the Galatica, and exploring my surroundings. the Hanger bay looks great, spacious, but you could interact with the characters of asking questions and they give you suggestions in return.

At the moment I’m current exploring the Galatica, onwards to the bridge and awaiting orders from Commander Adama. and let you guys know in the next episode what coming up in the next log.

Planning too join the rebellion against the evil empire of Emperor Palatine. well this game app does allow for you to join the rebellion. This game app is called Star Wars trench run version two it’s by THQ wirless! It’s basically reliving the challenging battles from Episodes four of the Star wars, episodes. Naming ” A new hope”

Have you every wonder?, what was like to play the games that are in the days of dancing the robot dance( thanks to C3PO for creating those awesome dance moves), watching movies and memorable moments on the VCR ( either VHS or BETA )? . There’s this game App that I’m addicted too that brought wonderful memories of being flying through the trenches of the Death Star, trying to voiding the sneaky blaster cannons that awaits you every single moments that you entered into the trenches just try to fire Torpedos into the a small hole, which is a heat venting conduit which leads to the heart of the Death Star’ reactor. also reliving favourite moments, escaping from the Death Star after rescuing Princess Leia, then battling it all out to escape, with that mysterious cargo that the Stromtroopers place by the orders of Darth Vader.

This game allows you to enter in various ships of you choosing from the classic X-Wing, to the infamous wicked modified YT-1300 freighter The millennium Falcon, the classic Tie Fighter, also Vader’s fighter or just your average Y-wing fighter. The game allows you fly in different missions dogfights, trenches, and Han Solo. One night feature that I’ve like is the changablitiy of between first and third person view in flying combat. Some how playing this game app bring back remembering the days of playing it at the arcades, when it was all wire frame, before it was skin and textured.

Playing this requires a little bit more skill, in saying this I use and still to play a lot of Star Wars also that goes for Star Trek PC games in the past both requires Joystick, Keyboarding and Mousing. Playing with the Phone requires a lot of moment and balancing with the wrist movements, that means taking the game a seldom slower than the intense PC gaming, where you just go in into the fight like flying a Viper, and creating nothing but the rain out from Cyclons in Battlestar Galatica. But if there’s a Battlestar Galatica version out there I like to know.

The Star Wars trench run, is great when you need adventuring life out from Tatooine, and will give you workout.
