香港 #AlreadyTomorrowInHongKong- Adventuring without #TARDIS | #MACAU-Senado Square – still an evolving ever changing place of meetings

As driving away from the Church of Lady of Penha in São Lourenço Macau, with my tour guide, in which the next stop is the old City town square in which is Sendo Square or known as Senate Square, in which is quite iconic due to the beach wave paved tile square…… In which back in during 16th to 18th century the town square it was a major town meeting place of the people of Macau, for Chinese also the Portuguese… The Square was named after Leal Sendo – Loyal Senate in translation from Portuguese… in which the various parts of the senate was based on the collective of Parishes as I was told..

The centric location of the square is the centuries old buildings in connects to various parts of the triangularly as the area goes in which its centuries old vitalized  neighborhood district joins with the other districts of Largo do São Domingos at one end and Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro…… as it was a center ground as a meeting place, also it’s a place of commerce in which the shopping has evolved from its traditional old school  to more now more of mainstream shopping local to  international brands that have taken over the last few decades slowly while still retaining its original character of how it was long ago as I walked towards the street endings in which I could sense it’s retracing its history back building by building, layer by layer there are still the old school stores that are around as exploring  the architecture nature of the Senado has a lot of Italian, Vienna, Spanish, Portuguese influences collectively with a mixture of Chinese influences in which I could see in culinary that I’ve been for lunch in a Portuguese restaurant call Dom Galo restaurant in which there are two one at Calçada do Tronco Velho, n 10,  the other that I ate in at Av. Sir Anders Ljungstedt, n 36 G/F, AF-AG…… as I tasted  each dish that I’ve ordered,  I could see how those influences are brought  within Macau’s  culinary  dishes together in fusion within all those cultures that history residing in Macau also in relation to its layered by layer architecture..

as Macau grows so does its evolutionary architecture in which is heavily influence by it’s Portuguese past..

As walking around the Sendo Square, I  was how amazed that how vibrate the colours are around the place, with sunny yolk yellows, white Portuguese walls, also how clean the streets are even the side streets shopping alleys are also clean aswell.. As walking on those white and black tile pavements streets. In which the those streets with white tiles pavements in which line up to various streets to in out of the Sendo Square is also the linking tight alleys streets that leads up to the to another iconic place in Macau.. The weather battered harden 17th century church of St. Paul in Santo António in which is another Macau’s center square…

香港 #AlreadyTomorrowInHongKong- Adventuring without #TARDIS | #MACAU- the Lady of Penha Chapel – with a great classic timeless place for #wedding photographic moments memories..

“.. As leaving the Chapel of Lady Penha the Bride smile thankingly delightfully again as we met together for the last time in hope wishing them well also the her groom would look after each other respectability through life together……”

My next stop for is on a  warm the clear blue skies morning is the Lady of Penha Chapel, in church in São Lourenço Macau is located on top of the Penha Hill Tops with encompassing view of Colonial Macau views  in which the church is also dedicated to The Lady Of Penha…… in which The Lady Of Penha .. Also can be found originally from France..  Located on the hill tops with a highly dense plushy neighborhood surrounding the Chapel… as driving towards there..

As driving there, with my tour guide for the day, he explains that this area is extremely popular location  for wedding photography for newlywed’s couples in which taking advantage of the iconic location in which as awesome backdrop view of the Macau Harbour..  as I was getting out of the car, in which I met two soon to be wedded  lovely couples whom was having their wedding photographs taken in which shared the same make up team in which have two photographer teams in between the two couples.. As I met one couple congratulating them, the bride dressed in an A line silk floral pattern lacy tube wedding dress.  Said delightfully thanks with a smile in return… In which providing the groom was getting ready for the shot…

As we walk up toward the chapel, in which you could see the French, Portuguese style chapel… in which was built in 1837, in where the land was donated by the senate of Augustinians in then once sorting out the finer details the chapel was constructed in 1622 until it changed ownership from until the Augustinians was evicted out from Macau in 1837, from then it was reconstructed in within additional residence bishop wing rebuilt completely in 1935.. With that reconstruction it contains in the courtyard with the white Statue of the “Our Lady of Lourdes’s as it observes the church, also the Macau’s Harbour..

Macau’s Harbour makes a timeless wedding backdrop as with the essences of 1930’s

Having walking around the chapel, first starting around the grounds as one of the other pair of wed couples  have already started their preparations in getting their photo shot… as I walked around, I entered inside the chapel.. in which you can see the 1935 incarnation from the previous two incarnations as historically it was rebuilt….. as seeing the window stain glass window that ornate the stories of how this chapel come to be, in sense you can see, feel that rebuild through the same wooden bench seating that still remains to the day since its third incarnation rebuild of the 1930’s design elements.. It’s hard to imagine what the place was like as it was previously built, but in that reflection of third incarnation rebuild, I can see the essences how it reconstructed…

Orthough, there’s no photography allowed inside…  I can see how provincially enriched the community is around.. As leaving the Chapel of Lady Penha the Bride also the groom smile thankingly delightfully again as we met together for the last time in hope wishing them well would look after each other respectability through life together……

香港 #AlreadyTomorrowInHongKong- Adventuring without #TARDIS | #MACAU- The 15th century built A-Ma Temple the very temple that Gave Macau its name.. !

My next location after finding a good tour guide from is Agencia De Viagens.- Seng Wang Limitada..   is going into the Portuguese-Macau center square in which after traveling from the Macau Harbour Terminal, in which touring around the streets, the older streets in which those days before cars, known the four wheel automobile in which.. Horses, carts, horses carriages….. as travelling, touring around in a Mobile Person Vehicle… in a brown Toyota vehicle..  The tour guide driver tells the story of the street layout, in which there are tight enough for small street cars, scooters, are very popular to get around the old streets of Macau, as I notice more scooters around in Macau than in Hong Kong patience driving behind them as we passed one of the clinics that the Founder of the Republic Doctor Sun Yet Sen work in as he prepared for laying the foundations of the Republic precursory that year 1911….

As driving pass by the clinic in which, contained various medical utensils that he used during that time, in treating his patience as seen through the museum, in the nearby small hospital that’s contain his statue within the clinics courtyard…..

As you can see the secondary door way that leading up to the other pavilion temples in which is dedicated to deities, immortals great sages, also it’s dedicated to Goddess of Mercy -Guanyin….

My next stop is the 15th century A-Ma Temple in which is locatingly in Barra Square, very near towards nearby the Maritime Museum.. In which is built in 1488 AD, in which is dedicated in to the sea Goddess, Mazu, located in Sao Louurenco, in which is which is one of Macau’s oldest temples in the Special administrative Region..  Its first western depiction is once illustrated by a English artist architect- Thomas Allom……..   in which the temple is located on the doorstep on once was a shoreline.. now that doorstep have located further out into reclaim land that once berth its native to colonially sailing ships..

When you think of  region of Macau  in which the given  inspired name for the region is inspired from the,  The A- Ma Temple, as Portuguese Sailors landed on the Peninsula, in which that name is  of the Temple of the Pavilion of the Mother..

one of the organically temples in which it is a home to an immortal whom lives within the confines of that rock..

Entering towards the Main Gate of the Temple is like stepping back in time as far back towards 1488, in which, stepping back in time where you can see, feel, smell,  the acumination of all that as I walked through the temple main gates into various ones that walking beforehand you can feel see ancient paint works still back then still tells the stories of its time as the trees that grow within the various courtyards in between Gate Pavilion, the Memorial Arch, prayer Hall,  Hall of the Benevolence, in which is the oldest section of the Temple as it’s is a Taoist- Confucius Temple in which the only Buddhist component is the Hall Of Guanyin or known as the Goddess of Mercy…….. also it pays to donate some coinage as a token for the up keep, also that upkeep is that allows you burn incense..

One way of seeing how old the temple is through its design architectural construction, also how its constructed, in which this case of A-Ma Temple- Macau, orthough the inspirational design is Ming Dynasty based in which the early Qing Dynasty inspire adopted as you see the designs are translated into other temples of that era in Hong Kong, Cheung Chau to from the Canton Province extending all the way towards Nanking and Beijing where in the Ming Dynasty the designs are more elaborately detail in sense you can see that in time period of women clothing Chinese HanFu  dress from that era also the men aswell……

香港 #AlreadyTomorrowInHongKong- Adventuring without #TARDIS | #MACAU- Strong morning traditional Chinese breakfast bound wise on a Turbo Jet-

My next stop is another Special Administrative Region…. In which pretty much like In Already Tomorrow in Hong Kong… in which Hong Kong to its SAR – Portuguese colonial Counterpart is 62 kilometers… in which takes least fifty five minutes on a Turbo Jet high velocity ferry from Tsim Sha Tsui China Ferry Terminal, in which there are other terminals to catch the Turbo Jet from is from Hong Kong International Airport- off wise of Lantau Island, also from Hong Kong Island where the other terminals nearby Victoria Harbour..

Located at 33 Canton Road  at  Tsim Shan Tsui , Kowloon, The Terminal from China Ferry Terminal on a modest least cluttered clear morning, from Tsim Sha Tsui is from there my journey begins at going towards Macau… also it pays to have a strong breakfast beforehand due to the amount of walking adventuring that lies ahead… Taking the Turbo Jet to Macau in which you have to purchase the Tickets at the Turbo Jet counter inside the China Ferry terminal in this case where the terminal that I’m departing from ….  Given if you are traveler it pays to have your passport ready for customs and immigration…. Also a bobby pin, hair clips or paper clips in which comes in handy to hold your documents together in which that the documentation slips are generally loose….

Hong Kong- Tsim Sha Tsui – China Ferry Terminal… looking outwardly at amberic glow of the sun glinting below Hong Kong Island..

Having purchasing my ticket, with a book timing the time of depart from Hong Kong’s China Ferry Terminal also the time leaving for Macau Marine time Ferry Terminal from the previously day, In which it pays to be prepared.. In case of last minutes entanglements…. As there are various ways of travelling to Macau, one option is travelling by liner at the Harbour City Terminals, or the very traditional way of a slower ferry or if you have money to spend its helicopter or aircraft… The other way is going by Turbo Jet in which I settle for… also settle for a window seating… having boarded my ferry ride from Tsim Sha Tsui. The Turbo Ferry took no matter of time in gathering momentum to start surfing the Jade liquid Pearl Delta-Victoria Harbour … in which my view was slight stain satin glass obscured by the tint layered thin film that created a daytime Noir film of ferry leaving Hong Kong to Macau with in between choppy Harbour…

As seated in for the remaining least as one hour journey on the Turbo Jet, finding some snacks in my backpack to keep me occupied for the remaining of the ferry ride, as I remain constantly occupied for the constant view of leaving Hong Kong’s Victoria’s Harbour towards Macau.. As the views of the window transition from looking at Hong Kong Island towards…. The smaller dotted islands with the abundances of massive cargo ships that still awaits for berthing to unload –load their containers.. in which those containers was invented by Hong Kong- fun fact..

As the journey progresses, the smaller islands come in view in the distance closer towards further in distance as the Turbo Jet raced away towards Macau in which the journey time in between two SAR’s takes fifty five minutes..….

As the Turbo jet starts too de-accelerated as the Macau’s Harbour in which, then the first time adventuring into Macau begins… as new to Macau it’s best to do grab a good map, or making sure in getting a great data plan in internet data roaming getting going in which search for information for places if you’re going alone adventuring around Macau.. .. As for the first time here, I hired a personal tour guide for the day services in which they can be found around the terminal, also it’s best to look around in which one good one that I’ve encounter is Agencia De Viagens.- Seng Wang Limitada..   in which the driver-tour guide throughout the day has been excellent as showing the key Macau spots, also explaining, talking the social ground issues unlike any tour guide that I’ve met before also the in-depth issues of Macau History also travel safety advice in which invaluable…..

香港 #AlreadyTomorrowInHongKong- Adventuring without #TARDIS | #HongKong- The Victoria Peak Tram..

Orthough I’ve been on the Victoria peak tram many countless times, each ride is never the same, never the same experience as each trip upwards towards the mountain to Victoria Peak is always a different story, as the different evolving stories unfolds as the passengers whom ride them.. Within each passenger telling their own stories as also unfold before them as they arrive at the summit…

Going back there, in which the skyline has changed with more evolving buildings in the previously Jardine building (178 meters) was the tallest in the Hong Kong Skyline the tall rectangular building with the iconic round things windows.. now it’s the two iconic buildings one seen over west Kowloon with the ICC Building ( 484 meters tall) in Tsim Sha Tsui, also closer by adjacent to the Peak is the IFC building ( 412 Meters tall) that’s dominate over the skyline among with the HSBC- Hong Kong Shanghai Bank  also the bank of China.. With ever more tall mountainous apartment, commercial buildings that planted among the skyline, like a Chinese towering mountain tops with illustrated trees……

Re-Finding the location in where to take the peak tram upwards from the where the lower Terminus is situated at Garden Road in the location of St, John Building  in Central in where to find the place is  well located with The Peak Tram- 太平山”  foundation in which the place also the place where Belgium Consulate is..

the location of the Victoria Peak Tram Terminus..

In order to get there, it’s best to get there early or later just in case of incoming influx of afternoon crowds or evening coming at peak times… but getting there by various transport means is located here with the buses routes, Taxis, or the Just a nice stroll from Central’s MTR..  Or given that you have your own transportation like a car, Barker road driving to the summit…. However for me it was transiting from the Star Ferry and then walking bring back adventuring memories towards to the Terminus in which… walking there was my best option as reconnecting with the constant redeveloping streets, as walking towards, from the HSBC- Hong Kong Shanghai Bank towards the street over pass corridors that pasts through towards the China Bank, from its art Deco to its new building in which was featured in Star Trek as Hong Kong was a Major Subspace commutations hub network also a co share Starfleet Command Base of operations..
