That bright shiny thing at night with four massive solar panels?

NASA – ISS LIVE

This other app that I’ve pick up during this week, is the NASA International Space Station Live, it very quiet straight forward to you used,  as I found this goes in hand with other App I reviewed previously,   Star Walk also Solar Walk.  Both Apps have the real time positioning of the International Space Station.

Developed by NASA to education outreach the public about the ISS- International Space Station, this app shows you the Partners  of the assembly of the ISS. In a coloured three dimensional form, such country partners as Canada (CSA), Europe (ESA) Japan (JAXA)  Russia(RFSA-ROSCOSMOS) , United States (NASA) and other international partners.

One of the other features, shows it real time positioning, around the earth, and the orientation of the main Solar Panels that powers the life station up. One good thing it recives live updates of what it’s doing around the orbit of the Earth. There’s  another interesting part of the App, which gives you a virtual tour of the ISS mission Control Centre and gives you a tour information on what Station console office does.  The time line is one of the most impressive part, gives you a chronological order of what the expeditions missions to come, present, and past. Also if you explore the timeline app further it shows the crews day’s schedule, like lunch, breakfast, and other  daily routines throught-out the day.

Like a bit of Curiosity and Grail?

NASA-SPACECRAFT-3D

When I was browsing  through the Facebook feeds,  on the Apps store facebook page, I’ve stumble a pond on to this new Apple iphone and iPad app which based on AR (argument reality) and found it rather cute, reason been that you get to look at all sides of the two spacecraft one is Curiosity, and the other is Grail .  With one thing you’ll get the selection of the two hopefully with any given updated on the app will bring more AR items to it.

Firstly I’ve tried Curiosity, but before then I’ve  have to print out the Marker, by via Email or E-print, at then I decide to have the Marker Email, pretty much faster that way, due to that I’ve haven’t set up the printer to do E-print yet.  Later printing of the Marker page, I found Curiosity very much fun, than to Grail, due to that Curiosity has more animation components with the instrumentations arms reaching out with a menu to have the probe have the arm, mask, the High Gain Antenna, or just turn it around to every ninety degrees.  Same goes for Grail also but it has less functionality.

The NASA App is pretty much fun though, but it in be interesting given it have included other probes and mission vechicles such as the Space Shuttles, the rockets that lead up to the Saturn five programme Constellation,  and not forgetting the ISS ( International Space Station)  or SkyLab.

Auckland’s July 2012- fog

A while ago last week I went to Auckland Memorial Museum, last week the city was blanketing of fog, at one of the days of that week it lingered around for most of the day until the end of the night until the end of later that morning.  Looking around from the city to the east of Auckland around the harbour you could see on end the visibility hampered by the density of the fog of that morning.  Last night of that fog covered day it was even quite interesting to drive in the dark, where driving distance can been seen only roughly between least of one to two hundred meters away, but it’s safe to say to drive moderately to the environment of the road. Mostly what you’ve seen here is the Fog was burning away as the sun reclaiming its place. But on previous days inwards and departured flights from Auckland International Airport has been belayed later for safe travel.
