Currently Hung Hom Station will be converted from the East Rail Line Terminus, to a Railway Hub, The station itself, which has grown with us over the years has also completed its Mega Transformation … the new East Rail Line Platform will Be Relocated Underneath the existing Tuen Ma Line Platform allowing passengers to interchange more easily via escalators..

From then onwards on Passengers who begin their journey from PolyU and Tsim Sha Tsui East Can follow the colour labels on the ground to access station entrances accordingly  ….. The air conditioned and spacious new platform will provide passengers with a more comfortable environment whilst they wait for the trains… East Rail Line Passengers Can conveniently changes to Tuen Ma Line by going up just one Level ….. There will be also be escalators connecting the East Rail line Platform directly to concourse where the nearby Hong Kong Coliseum can be accessed via Exit C .

Admiralty station will be transformed into the only four line interchange mega station in Hong Kong SAR China – People’s Republic of China , connecting Tsuen wan Line, Island Line, south Island Line and the East Rail Line Cross harbour extension ….

Upon the Commissioning of the new extension of Admiralty Station, it has six levels in total. From the concourse passengers can directly access the transfer lobby via new escalators, going one level down will take you to the East Rail Line Platforms…. To facilitate passengers to the new arrangements large, clear signage has been put up for the different lines …. Passengers who enter the station via Exit A of Admiralty Centre may walk straight ahead to take the island Line or Tsuen Wan Line Trains. For East Line and South island line Just follow the colour labels on the ground and keep walking upon entering gate.. you can reach the Transfer Lobby via escalators. Going one level down will take you to the New East Rail line platforms  , On the Right you can board the trains going towards LO Wu/Lok Mak Chau… On the left is East Rail Line Terminal… Conversely for the South Island Line and East Rail Line Passengers wanting to exit the station just take the escalator on the right from the East Rail Line Level and go straight up to concourse if you want to change to Tusen Wan Line or Island Line Keep walking and following the signs corresponding to different platforms …

The Admiralty Station extension has created a Large Skyline Directing natural light into the underground station to provide a bright and airy environment for passengers … The Skylight is located at the relocated Exit E, Whilst Exit E2 is connected with the footbridge to Tamar Park , allowing easy access to nearby areas…..

During the month of January 2022 East Rail Line cross-harbour extension enters trial operations stage The East Rail Line (EAL) cross-harbour extension service reached another major milestone today with the commencement of trial operations! All the railway construction works have been substantially completed and the baton was passed to the Operations Team. The upcoming tasks include the system run-in of various train services and station facilities, train trial runs and a series of drills and exercises. Delivering the best customer service is of the utmost importance for the opening of the EAL cross-harbour extension.

What were the preparations works done by the Construction Team before the handover? Why are trial operations one of the major milestones for commissioning a new railway line? Let’s take a look at a video on the trial operations for the EAL cross-harbour extension!

The MTR Hong Kong East Rail Line (EAL) will soon extend across the harbour via the fourth cross-harbour railway. Besides passing underneath Victoria Harbour, the railway tunnel also runs below busy roads and commercial areas on Hong Kong Island. Upon the commissioning of the EAL cross Harbour Extension in which is a full forty six kilometers ….. the East Rail Line will Extend across the harbour from Hung Hom to Admiralty it will take around five minutes from Hung Hom Station to Exhibition Center Station … The Railway tunnel from Hung Hom to Admiralty is the fourth Cross Harbour Railway Tunnel …

Let’s recap the Construction of the this cross Harbour railway Tunnel, Immersed Tube Tunnel – Immerse tube tunnel construction method was adopted as YS Cheung – Chief Inspector of work –Civil explains for the cross harbour of the East Rail Line with eleven pre cast tunnel units were fabricated at the former Shek O Quarry Each of the Tunnel units is approximately 160 meters length with twenty meters width, nine meters in height and weighs about 23,000 tonnes which is equivalent to the weight of 1,000 double decker buses……

Upon the Completion of all pre-cast units the cast Yard was filled with water, the units were floated an Towed to Tseung Kwan O, For Installation of survey towers and floating pontoons. Immersed tube Tunnel is a Marine Engineering work which always face great challenges under adverse weather in 2017, the team encountered Typhoon Merbook. When Preparing for the sinking of the Tunnels units Fortunately, the units in Tseung Kwan O, were not destroyed by the typhoon ..

Travel spreader Seabed flatten – We Adopted a gravel spreader system to form a gravel layer to flatten the seabed, This machine was developed in Hong Kong – Made in Hong Kong SAR Technology to fit Hong Kong SAR’s Environment tailoring made for this project it can replace some of the works by divers under the sea which was a very human friendly design.

Immersion of tunnels units at Victoria Harbour – Finally, the tunnel unites were towed to Victoria Harbour for Immersion…. The Immersed tube tunnel will connect among with the process of Tunnel Boring with the Tunnel section between with the tunnel section between Causeway Bay and Admiralty …. KK Yung- Chief Inspector of Works –Civil explains that the Tunnel Boring Method was adopted and the machine was fully operated under the ground which people could continue their ground level activities without any impact Construction under the busy road Traffic – The Works had to be carried out without affecting the busy road traffic above the ground as well as to overcome many underground challenges … One of the Major Challenges was to construct the EAL cross – harbour tunnel underneath the existing Tsuen Wan Line. The Team need to do the Morning around the clock to ensure the pressure and betonies slurry density was with the pre-set values. The Team always pay full attention when construction a tunnel in a urban area in order not to affect railway operations with good cooperation between the Corporation and various government departments….

I was worth our efforts when we could see the project was successfully completed I am glad that I could participate in this project, I am also looking forward to the commission of the this cross harbour tunnel which provide a fast and convenient railways service to the public…. [Train Testing of East Rail Line Cross-Harbour Extension Enters a New Phase] Following the completion of the stress test of the signalling system last December, the next phase of train testing for the East Rail Line (EAL) cross-harbour extension commenced on 24 January. 11 trains ran on a section of the EAL through the Hong Kong’s fourth cross-harbour railway tunnel to Exhibition Centre Station and Admiralty Station. This test was to simulate the train service after commencement of the new section for evaluation of train service performance, such as train punctuality. Additional testing will be conducted during non-traffic hours on several nights between late January and April. Let’s take a sneak peek of trains entering the new platforms!

During this February 2021 Trial operations for Tuen Ma Line full line commence!……… Month of first on the Year of the Ox  .. Trial operations have begun on the Tuen Ma Line to gear up for full line opening and trial run of trains during traffic hours is underway. Let’s take a ride on the new section from East Tsim Sha Tsui Station to the new Sung Wong Toi Station from the train captain’s view!

On the 16th February 2021, trains will be arranged to enter the new section of the Tuen Ma Line for trial operations after they arrive at Kai Tak Station. We will have public announcements and deploy staff to remind passengers to alight from the trains at this terminal station. Meanwhile, passengers will also be arranged to board trains at Platform 2 of Kai Tak Station.

in which there’s been major Tracks Modifications innovatively to carry out the complicated engineering works on the operating sections on Overhead lines as part of the massive installation work among the Advance works there will be train suspensions in between Lok Ma Chau and Lo Wu that connects towards the Tai Wai Stations in which also to Mong Kok East Station on towards Hung Hom on no Train services between Mong Kong and Hung Hom sections on certain dates..

Bifurcation works on East Rail Line is a large-scale and complex project, especially on an existing running line. The works not only include track reconfiguration, installation of overhead line and modification of part of the existing signalling system equipment, but also involve testing and fine-tuning. Despite these challenges, our team has carried out thorough planning along the way with regular inspections and tests to ensure that the works will be carried out smoothly and safely.

In which there’s a Tuen Ma Line in which has been fully in running..  The full Tuen Ma Line –TML line running approximately 56 kilometers running through twenty seven stations with six interchange stations in which the line will be expected to be operationally on the third quarter of 2021.. Is the longest railway line in Hong Kong connecting the West Rail Line and the Tuen Ma Line Phase 1….  #TuenMaLine​ (TML) has entered into trial operations, and our three new stations #SungWongToiStation​, #ToKwaWanStation​ and #HungHomStation​ are also gearing up for passenger service. The Tuen Ma Line (TML) full line will commence passenger service on 27 June. As the West Rail Line will become part of the TML, Hung Hom Station will be the interchange station of the TML and the East Rail Line in the future. The station has undergone a major transformation and new interchange arrangements will be in place starting from 20 June.

The Opening of the Tuen Ma Line is coming.. are you ready.. that runs in between Tuen Mun – Hung Hom – Wu Kai Sha MTR Stations in which will become the West Rail Line , Hung Hom Station will Also be Transformed…. That massive transformation and renovations will have the concourse and platforms retrofitted upgraded, with able of natural lighting like the west Kowloon Austin Road Station with Natural brightness lit given the passengers and patronages of more sense of wellness being..

The newly retrofitted platform is really spacious on the New Hung Hom Platform, with amble of community art works from the locally all walks of life contributing towards the sense of the neighbourhood  district with fine designs.. As part of the Retrofitting upgrades the restrooms and Platforms screen doors make for the better journey experiences … with the upgrades the Additionally paths connecting with East Tsim Sha Tsui and Hong Kong PolyU..

Other New Arrangements with the East Rail Line Platform with the interchange is the preparations for the opening of the full Tuen Ma Line  in which that preparation the West Rail Line Platform will be relocated in advance …. Colour labels of that preparations is follow the Fuchsia colour signage in between the twenty to twenty six of June 2021..  To change to the West Rail Line at the new platform, after the twenty six of June 2021 of the Opening of the full Tuen Ma Line follow the brown signage from twenty seven June 2021..

 Following that Brown interchange Signage with a three minute average walk reaching to that new platform… It is best to utilities fully of the MTR Mobile Planning your Journey in advance, also it may take time to get used to the new arrangements.. In which the New Interchange arrangement will continue until the commencement of the Cross harbour section of the East Rail line.

The new stations will offer you a brand new customer experience with staff providing assistance as a roving team with a more proactive approach and several types of robots serving inside the stations.

The entrances/exits also connect to different parts of the community as well as local facilities, providing you with convenient and all-weathered admits to access the district.

One thing more, the “Train Car Loading Indicator” will be introduced to provide real-time information about the estimated spatial conditions of each train compartment to serve you as a reference for train boarding.

Together with the commissioning of the Tuen Ma Line Phase 1, three new stations, i.e. Hin Keng Station, the expanded part of Diamond Hill Station and Kai Tak Station commenced service on 14 February 2020. The remaining railway section (between Kai Tak Station and Hung Hom Station) will commence service very soon, providing efficient and convenient railway service to the To Kwa Wan and Kowloon City areas, as well as bringing new vitality to the community Networking, providing more alternatives for passengers travelling to different districts.

The Tuen Ma Line also includes a number of interchange stations which enhance connectivity with the rest of the city’s railway system network..
