On 25th September 2022 on 1500 towards 1600 Hong Kong SAR – Beijing Time, Sunday competition, naming and submission of proposal, and the 20 selected Exoplanetary systems…..When we look up in the sky, countless stars can be found shining in every corner. In the past, we only knew about the planets in our own solar system. Today, thanks to technology, the existence of extrasolar planets is well-proved. Now, we have the opportunity to name these exoworlds! The International Astronomical Union (IAU) has released 20 Exoplanetary systems to be named by the public around the world under its naming competition – NameExoWorlds 2022. In the 2019’s competition, a star system was named as Lionrock (host star HD 212771) and Victoria peak (exoplanet HD 212771b) by residents Hong Kong SAR –China, People’s Republic of China people.
