The longest space mission duration trip crew debuts On the afternoon of July 5, 2024, two months after returning from space, the Shenzhou 17 astronaut crew Tang Hongbo, Tang Shengjie, and Jiang Xinlin officially met with the media and the public at the China Astronaut Center. At the meeting, the Shenzhou 17 crew shared their experiences and insights during their time in orbit.
After returning, the Shenzhou 17 crew has successively completed the isolation recovery and convalescence recovery stages, and has fully entered the recovery observation stage. At present, under the careful protection and care of the scientific research support team of the China Astronaut Research and Training Center, the crew is in good physical and mental condition, their weight is stable at the pre-flight level, the results of various medical examinations are normal, and their muscle strength, endurance, and exercise cardiopulmonary function have basically recovered to the pre-flight level. After completing various tasks during the recovery period and conducting a summary of the recovery health assessment, the three astronauts will return to normal training.

The nomination for Young Takionaut Astronaut Training Camp 2023 is now open for local secondary schools from May 1 until May 31. Selected participants will experience astronaut training on the Mainland free of charge this summer to learn about space science, astronomy and China’s aerospace achievements. Since 2009, the Hong Kong Space Museum has been in charge of coordinating the “Young Takionaut Experience Camp”. So far, more than 300 local secondary school students have participated in the astronaut experience course in Beijing Aerospace City, and visited important astronomical and aerospace facilities in China to learn about China’s aerospace industry. Candidates should be nominated by their respective schools. Each secondary school can nominate no more than two students. There will be three rounds of selection – a quiz, a pre-tour training camp and an interview. Thirty candidates with the best performance will be selected to participate in astronaut training activities including the donning and doffing of spacesuits, a “space kitchen”, psychological training and blood-redistribution adaptability training. For students who are interested, try to seek nomination from school. It is your chance to experience astronaut training.

The training camp is jointly presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in association with the Beijing-Hong Kong Academic Exchange Centre. The training camp is implemented by the Hong Kong Space Museum and sponsored by the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce.
In order to cultivate the interest of the young generation in Hong Kong in astronomy and space science, and deepen their understanding of the development and achievements of China’s aerospace technology, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce have jointly organized the “Youth Astronaut Experience Camp” since 2009. Select 30 middle school students to participate in astronaut experience courses in Beijing and Jiuquan during the summer vacation. On the 1st April 2023 it was the 55th Anniversary of CNSA –China National Administration – of the founding of the China Astronaut Center- China Astronaut Research and Training Center in which founded on the 1st April 1968 in which celebrating the event there was an Open Day to the Public at the China Astronaut Center in which holding various events in which called Flying Open Day saw 11 Takionauts at the scene during the opening. .. ..

The China Astronaut Research and Training Center, referred to as the China Astronaut Center formerly known as the 507th Institute, is located in Haidian District, Beijing.
