On the 3rd April 2024 in  CNSA _China National Space Administration -China – People’s Republic of China 0656  hours Hong Kong –Beijing Time China- People’s Republic of China launch the Chang Zheng Long March 2-D carrier rocket successfully launched the Yaogan 42-01 satellite at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center Star, the launch mission was a complete success. The star arrows are all developed by the Shanghai Aerospace Technology Research Institute of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.


The Chang Zheng – Long March 2D Carrier Rocket  launch vehicle is a normal-temperature liquid two-stage launch vehicle with a take-off thrust of about 300 tons and a corresponding capacity of 1.3 tons in a 700-kilometer sun-synchronous circular orbit. It has single satellites and satellites in different orbits at the three satellite launch centers of Jiuquan, Taiyuan, and Xichang. Multi-satellite launch capability.


This launch is the 87th launch of the Long March-2D carrier rocket, the 206th launch of the Long March series of launch vehicles developed by the Academy, and the 515th launch of the Long March series of launch vehicles!

长二丁the Chang Zheng- Long March 2D YZ3 Y3 Rocket/Yuanzheng-3 Upper Stage  Successfully launched Yunhai-2 Satellite Group 02….. At 13:27 on March 21 2024, the Long March 2-D carrier rocket/Yuanzheng-3 upper stage took off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. Subsequently, the Yunhai-2 Group 02 was sent into the predetermined orbit, and the launch mission was a complete success.


Yunhai-2 Group 02 satellites were developed by the Fifth Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation and are mainly used in the fields of atmospheric environment element detection, space environment monitoring, disaster prevention and reduction, and scientific experiments.

The Chang Zheng- Long March 2D YZ3 Y3 Carrier Rocket   and Yuanzheng-3 upper stage were developed by the Eighth Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. The Yuanzheng-3 upper stage, known as the “Space Bus”, has the capability of more than 20 independent fast-orbit manoeuvre deployments. It is mainly used for off-orbit multi-satellite deployment missions. It can directly send multiple satellites into predetermined space positions, quickly and flexibly. Access to space, space maneuvering and space utilization all play an important role.


This launch is the 513th launch of the Long March series of launch vehicles.

“Long March 2D” is a medium-sized two-stage room-temperature liquid launch vehicle developed by the Eighth Institute of Aerospace Science and Technology. The first and second stages are powered by dinitrogen tetroxide/uniform dimethylhydrazine propellant. The arrow is 41 meters long, with a diameter of 3.35 meters for both the first and second levels, a take-off mass of 250 tons, a take-off thrust of 302 tons, a low-Earth orbit (LEO) transport capacity of 4.0 tons, a 500-kilometer sun-synchronous orbit (SSO) transport capacity of 1.5 tons, and 700 Kilometer sun-synchronous orbit has a transport capacity of 1.3 tons. This rocket uses an extended fairing with a diameter of 3.35 meters, and the height of the entire rocket is increased by several meters. At present, the rocket’s effective working time at the launch site has been shortened to 10 days, making it one of the rocket models with the shortest working cycle at the domestic launch site.

It took 37 years for the Long March series rockets to achieve the first 100 launches, the second 100 launches in 7 and a half years, the third 100 launches in more than 4 years, and the fourth 100 launches in 2 years and 9 months. The fifth 100 times only took 2 years. From scratch, from small to large, from weak to strong, from the first time to the 500th time, China Aerospace has demonstrated China’s rocket speed to the world……

At 4:03 Beijing time today on the 24th October 2023, the Chang Zheng- Long March 2D carrier rocket ignited and took off at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in my country, and then sent the Yaogn Remote Sensing 39 satellite into the predetermined orbit. The launch mission was a complete success. Remote Sensing 39 satellite was developed by the Fifth and Eighth Institutes of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. This mission was the 492nd launch of the Long March series of launch vehicles and the 200th launch of the Long March series of launch vehicles developed by the Eighth Institute.
