In which中国 successfully launched the Yaogan remote sensing 39 satellite, Was developed by the Fifth and Eighth Institutes of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. Space, the satellite successfully entered the scheduled orbit, and the launch mission was a complete success. This mission is the 500th flight of the Long March series of launch vehicles….

Records are made and broken. We look forward to the next 100 times coming as soon as possible!

Successfully launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center, accurately sending the Remote Sensing 39 satellite into the predetermined orbit. This launch is the 500th launch of the Long March series of launch vehicles, once again setting a new height for China’s aerospace industry.

“Long March 2D” is a medium-sized two-stage room-temperature liquid launch vehicle developed by the Eighth Institute of Aerospace Science and Technology. The first and second stages are powered by dinitrogen tetroxide/uniform dimethylhydrazine propellant. The arrow is 41 meters long, with a diameter of 3.35 meters for both the first and second levels, a take-off mass of 250 tons, a take-off thrust of 302 tons, a low-Earth orbit (LEO) transport capacity of 4.0 tons, a 500-kilometer sun-synchronous orbit (SSO) transport capacity of 1.5 tons, and 700 Kilometer sun-synchronous orbit has a transport capacity of 1.3 tons. This rocket uses an extended fairing with a diameter of 3.35 meters, and the height of the entire rocket is increased by several meters. At present, the rocket’s effective working time at the launch site has been shortened to 10 days, making it one of the rocket models with the shortest working cycle at the domestic launch site.

It took 37 years for the Long March series rockets to achieve the first 100 launches, the second 100 launches in 7 and a half years, the third 100 launches in more than 4 years, and the fourth 100 launches in 2 years and 9 months. The fifth 100 times only took 2 years. From scratch, from small to large, from weak to strong, from the first time to the 500th time, China Aerospace has demonstrated China’s rocket speed to the world……

[China’s Egypt-aided Satellite 2 successfully passed the factory review]

On November 2nd  , 2023, the factory review meeting of the Egypt-aided Satellite 2 was held at the China Academy of Space Technology and passed the factory review as planned. Leaders of the International Economic Cooperation Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce and leaders of the Earth Observation and Data Center of the National Space Administration, the project management unit, attended the meeting and delivered speeches.

Experts attending the meeting watched a documentary report on satellite development, listened to the “Summary Report on the Development and Quality of the Egypt-2 Satellite Aid” made by the satellite chief engineer, and conducted discussions and questions. The review expert group believed that the Egypt-aided Satellite 2 had successfully completed all development and testing work, met relevant quality supervision requirements, and agreed to pass the factory review.

The meeting pointed out that the Egypt-2 satellite project is a landmark project for pragmatic cooperation between China and Egypt, the transformation and upgrading of China-Africa cooperation, and the promotion of high-quality development of the joint construction of the “Belt and Road”. A concrete manifestation of joint action. Since the start of the project, the general contractor and the management unit have cooperated sincerely to overcome the impact of the epidemic and overcome difficulties, and the work results have been hard-won. The successful implementation of the project has achieved many “firsts” in the history of China-Egypt cooperation and is of milestone significance.

Director Kong Dejun emphasized in his speech that the Egypt-2 satellite project is a landmark project for pragmatic cooperation between China and Egypt, the transformation and upgrading of China-Africa cooperation, and the promotion of high-quality development of the joint construction of the “Belt and Road”. It is also an important part of the implementation of the “nine projects” between China and Africa. , a concrete manifestation of the “Eight Major Joint Actions” between China and Arab states.

He pointed out that we should cherish the valuable experience of the past four years and transform it into a strong motivation for the next stage of work.

Director Zhao Jian pointed out in his speech that the Egypt-2 satellite project, as a satellite project that adopts a foreign aid management model, has written a new chapter in international cooperation in my country’s satellite projects.
As a project management unit, on the basis of strict quality management and project management, the center will continue to manage the follow-up satellite launch, on-orbit testing and delivery stages, continue to expand the breadth and depth of China-Egypt aerospace cooperation, and build a new era for the new era. The China-Egypt community with a shared future continues to contribute its space capabilities.

Design plan description

The “7” in the center of the logo of the plan is colorful and goes straight into the distance, symbolizing that my country’s aerospace industry is marching forward bravely on the long journey and writing a rich and colorful stroke in the vast space; the space station looms at the end of the road, symbolizing the Tianzhou Seven The cargo spacecraft will complete docking with the space station. The frame is designed using traditional Chinese cloud patterns. As a classic auspicious pattern, it means promotion and good luck. Decorated by thousands of golden stars, billowing auspicious clouds stretch and flow on both sides, escorting the Tianzhou-7 cargo spacecraft in the center of the picture to fly, expressing heartfelt blessings for this mission. The overall color scheme uses traditional Chinese colors. The gold-inlaid jade color on the border is combined with the cloisonné in the center. The two form a sharp contrast and are fascinating.

Summary:

Taikonaut Zhao gave us an overview of Hong Kong’s and GBA’s possible role in complementing China’s Space programme over the next few years. He built on the theme of “why not?” and suggested this is the perfect time to jump in. NewSpace is becoming a new industry for mankind. NewSpace is broad and all-encompassing, and that’s why we all need to think bigger and wider. NewSpace requires new tech, new talent, new policies, and new insights. The satellite applications market is the largest and this segment requires more capacity building. NewSpace should be more inclusive and for a more diversified humanity. We shouldn’t leave anyone behind. Hong Kong’s locational role is unique, and can help China become more international, more connected, and more innovative with proper and timely funding. Conversely, the NewSpace will also help power Hong Kong’s economy and make it much more diversified. There are five steps for Hong Kong to consider. Breakthrough the old stereotypes and barriers. Bring in talent. Enhance the rule of international space law. Attract more capital. Promote and connect startups in China to IPO. Hong Kong needs lots more talent. Need to develop many more and create a stronger pool of talent.

Speaker: Mr ZHAO Chuandong, China’s first batch of Taikonaut
