The transfer of the rocket-satellite combination of the “Long March 7A” rocket…. The “Long March 7A” “Long March 7 Modified”/”Long March 7A” is a medium-sized cryogenic liquid carrier rocket, mainly used to carry out medium and high Earth orbit launch missions. The maximum height of the rocket is 60.7 meters, the maximum diameter of the core stage is 3.35 meters, the take-off mass is about 573 tons, and its geosynchronous transfer orbit (GTO) capacity is not less than 7 tons. The rocket can be equipped with two types of fairings with diameters of 4.2 meters and 3.7 meters. When equipped with a fairing with a diameter of 3.7 meters, satellites can be carried in series, and two main satellites can be launched with one carrier rocket….

Youth Beijing rocket launches successfully
At 19:07 Beijing time on March 21, 2025, Galaxy Power Aerospace Company successfully launched Ceres-1 (Yao 17) · Youth Beijing rocket (mission code: VERNAL ASCENT) at Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, successfully sending 6 satellites of Yunyao Meteorological Constellation 43-48 into a 535km sun-synchronous orbit. This is another complete success within 5 days after the successful launch of Ceres-1 (Yao 10) on Monday this week.

The core meteorological detection payload carried by the 6 satellites of Yunyao Meteorological Constellation 43-48 is the GNSS occultation detection payload. The GNSS occultation detection payload can obtain the temperature, humidity, pressure of the atmosphere and the electron density information of the ionosphere by inverting the refraction data of the GNSS signal, and has broad application prospects and application value in the field of meteorological observation.

The Yunyao Meteorological Constellation is a core project under construction by Tianjin Yunyao Aerospace Technology Co., Ltd. Its goal is to build a global networked constellation of 90 commercial meteorological satellites in orbit, forming a real-time global atmosphere and ionosphere detection system to serve global weather forecasts and thousands of industries, and provide real-time weather forecast information for the “Belt and Road” countries. At present, Galaxy Power has launched 22 Yunyao series satellites, accelerating the construction of the satellite constellation network.

This launch is named “Youth Beijing”, which shows the vivid practice of Beijing youth inheriting the spirit of serving the country with science and technology and devoting themselves to the development of the capital in the new era with new-quality productivity. Weibo helps aerospace science popularization and young people build the Galaxy dream together.
