ORIENSPACE’s self-developed原力-110 “Yuanli-110” liquid oxygen-kerosene engine has successfully completed a long-range full-engine hot-fire test.

ORIENSPACE  on the month of late September 2026 recently completed a long-range hot-fire test of its 原力-110 “Yuanli-110” liquid oxygen-kerosene engine. This test involved iterative optimization of the engine’s core components and system design, with all core parameters precisely matching design expectations, thus fully testing the engine’s performance and reliability. The “Force-110” is the core propulsion system developed by VFS Global for the “Gravity-2” large reusable liquid-fueled launch vehicle. It has a sea-level thrust of 110 tons, a thrust variation range of 40%-110% across different depths, and is designed for reuse more than 20 times

The “Yuanli-110” is a 100-ton-class liquid oxygen-kerosene rocket engine independently developed by VFS Global, specifically designed for the “Gravity-2” large reusable liquid-fueled launch vehicle. It boasts a sea-level thrust of 110 tons and a vacuum thrust exceeding 120 tons, making it one of the most powerful liquid rocket engines in China’s commercial aerospace sector.

The key technological highlights of this engine include:

In terms of R&D progress, the原力-110 “Yuanli-110” engine has undergone multiple rounds of iterative verification, from semi-system testing to full-engine hot-fire testing. The first full-engine hot-fire test was completed in Tai’an, Shandong Province in September 2025, followed by the second in November of the same year, improving the ignition method and verifying multiple start-up capabilities. In late September 2026, the engine successfully completed a long-duration full-engine hot-fire test, conducting iterative optimization of core components and system solutions. All core parameters precisely matched design expectations, marking the engine’s entry into the reliability verification stage.

The engine was developed, assembled, and manufactured entirely by EAST in Liangxi, Wuxi, with a current localization rate of 65% for its components. According to the plan, the “Force-110” will be capable of being launched into space by 2026, providing power support for the maiden flight of “Gravity-2”. In the future, the Wuxi base will have the capacity to produce 100-300 of these engines per year.

The “Yuanli-110” liquid oxygen-kerosene engine, independently developed by Dongfang Space, recently completed a long-range hot-fire test. This core power unit, designed for the reusable rocket “Gravity-2”, has now entered the reliability verification stage
