On the 29th May 2024 1612 Hours Hong- Kong SAR – Beijing time星河动力空间科技有限公司 Galactic Energy- Galaxy Power, the Ceres-1 sea-launched Yao-2 carrier rocket carrying 4 communication satellites from the Apocalypse constellation 25 to 28 was launched from the “Oriental Spaceport” mobile launch ship located in the Yellow Sea, sending the satellites into a low-inclination low-Earth orbit (LEO) at an altitude of 850 kilometers. The launch mission was organized and implemented by the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center.
The 25, 26, 27, and 28 satellites of the Apocalypse constellation are small commercial low-orbit communication satellites. They are constellation networking satellites that can provide global quasi-real-time short data transmission services. The Apocalypse constellation is China’s first low-orbit satellite Internet of Things constellation built by Beijing Guodian Hi-Tech Technology Co., Ltd. It consists of 38 satellites and can effectively solve the data communication problem in blind areas of ground network coverage.
