The three Shenzhou 14 crewmates will spend around six months aboard Tianhe, the core module of the Tiangong space station. They will be aboard to receive two new modules, named Wentian and Mengtian, which are due to launch in late July and October, respectively…. crew is expected to conduct 2-3 extravehicular activities (EVA) from Wentian lab module and continue to livestream lectures from the Tiangong space station.

The official promotional video of Shenzhou 14 was released! Shenzhou set off on an expedition to connect with the world; together with the top and bottom, start the journey again. I invite you to join us and chase the dream of the stars and the sea.

In which on the 5th June 2022 successfully launch on schedule….  A complete success! 神舟十四号Shenzhou 14 Launched successfully …  At 10:44 on June 5, 2022 Beijing time, the Chang Zheng  Long March 2F Yao 14 carrier rocket carrying the  Shenzhou 14 manned spacecraft was ignited and launched at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. About 577 seconds later, the Shenzhou 14 manned spacecraft successfully separated from the rocket and entered the predetermined orbit. The flight crew was in good condition and the launch was a complete success.

This is the 23rd flight mission since the establishment of my country’s manned space project, and the 3rd manned flight mission in the space station phase. After the spacecraft enters orbit, it will conduct autonomous and rapid rendezvous and docking with the space station assembly according to the predetermined procedure. In the follow-up, the astronauts will be stationed in the Tianhe core module to start a 6-month on-orbit residency, and carry out the maintenance and care of the space station platform, the operation of the robotic arm, the exit activities, and the transfer of the module, as well as space science experiments and technical tests. At present, the space station assembly has entered the docking orbit and is in good condition, meeting the mission requirements for rendezvous and docking with Shenzhou 14 and the conditions for Takionauts to be stationed.

The crew was announced on 4th June 2022 during the Dragon Boat Festival at Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center Meet the Shenzhou14 crew: Commander Chen Dong (C) was on Shenzhou-11 manned mission in 2016. Liu Yang (R), China’s first female Taikonaut was on Shenzhou-9 manned mission in 2012. Cai Xuzhe will be on his first space mission.

神舟十四号Takionauts gave a thumbs up and said see you in Beijing….  Just now, the three astronauts of Shenzhou 14 arrived at the launch tower with small suitcases in which is the ventilation device. Before entering the elevator, Chen Dong, Liu Yang, and Cai Xuzhe gave their thumbs up and said in unison, “See you in Beijing!” Netizens: Good luck and hope for victory…!!!

Shenzhou 14 spacecraft has an 8.5-day emergency launch capability, and is on standby for up to 7 months Shenzhou 14 was organized by the China Academy of Space Technology China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation Fifth Academy for China’s manned space project. The 23rd spacecraft developed is also the ninth manned space mission of the Shenzhou series spacecraft.

Shenzhou No. 14 As the emergency rescue spacecraft of  Shenzhou No. 13 , since it entered the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in August 2021 and completed the standby state setting, it has been on standby at the launch site for 7 months, setting a record for the longest time. . In order to ensure that the state of the spacecraft meets the conditions, the Fifth Academy has made careful arrangements, and has carried out the first inspection of the “Beijing-Jiuquan” remote launch site, which has verified the effectiveness of the “one-ship launch, one-ship standby” model, which strongly supports the Shenzhou spacecraft’s “one-year” The need for two” regular launches.

Since the implementation of the space station mission, in order to ensure the smooth deployment of the mission and the absolute safety of the astronauts, the Shenzhou spacecraft must have emergency rescue capabilities that combine multiple guarantees between heaven and earth. To this end, the developers adopted a “rolling standby” strategy. When the previous manned spacecraft was launched, the latter manned spacecraft was on standby at the launch site, and had an 8.5-day emergency launch capability to achieve space rescue capabilities. ….
