​​At the recent International Symposium on the Development Prospects and Cooperation of Low-Earth Orbit Manned Spaceflight, Wang Xiaojun, Vice Chairman of the International Astronautical Federation and President of the First Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, introduced in the report that China’s new generation of manned spaceflight The first sub-stage of the rocket may adopt a new vertical take-off and landing recovery scheme , and a net recovery device will be used to achieve a soft landing during the landing stage .

According to reports, for a period of time in the future, my country will carry out the development of a new generation of manned launch vehicles. The new generation of manned launch vehicles adopts a modular and universal design, and has the ability to transport both manned and cargo at the same time.

The mission of the near-Earth space station adopts a two-stage tandem configuration, one sub-stage has the ability to be reused, and the low-Earth orbit carrying capacity is about 14 tons;

The exploration mission beyond the moon adopts the configuration of three- stage + booster, and the carrying capacity of the earth-moon transfer orbit is about 27 tons.


According to the report, the first sub-stage of the new generation of manned launch vehicles may adopt a new vertical take-off and landing recovery scheme. On the basis of engine deceleration, the re-entry process will also use pneumatic rudders for control and deceleration. In the landing stage, a net system recovery device is used to transfer more return mechanisms from the arrow to the ground. While reducing the burden on the arrow, the net-tie rope is used to dampen and decelerate the rocket to achieve a soft landing.

, China’s manned spaceflight projects mainly use the Long March 2F, Long March 7, and Long March 5B three-type launch vehicles. The Long March rocket developed by the Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation has built a “space-to-earth transportation corridor” for the construction and operation of China’s space station. There are 12 launches (including the first flight of Chang 5B) in the key technology verification and construction stage
of China’s space station , 6 of which have been completed so far, and there will be 6 launch missions this year . The subsequent operation phase of the space station is expected to complete an average of 2 manned flights and 2 cargo replenishments per year, and the construction of extended modules can be carried out according to mission requirements .

The International Symposium on the Development Prospects and Cooperation of Low-Earth Orbit Manned Spaceflight is jointly organized by the International Astronautical Federation, the Chinese Astronautical Society and the First Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.
